VOICE BOX is!!! (Well, what did you THINK I was going to say???) ;D
In the photo of him in his Trash and Vaudeville T-shirt, which is Cindy's avatar, I think, just look at his neck! He has got one extra-large set of pipes, for sure! That must be how he generates that powerful voice.
Hearing him singing live is a whole different experience than watching him on TV. I went to the taping where he did the encore of "Trees" and smashed the guitar. His voice was SO MUCH MORE POWERFUL AND CLEARER than the remaining singers. I was just floored! His voice cut through the sound of the band and the crowd so well. Every syllable was clear, powerful, and resonant. I highly recommend seeing him perform in person, if you get the chance at all.
Not only is his voice just amazing, but the energy level that he generates in the room was beyond anything I have ever seen outside of concerts by The Who. I thought that people would just start exploding like human popcorn all around me. Just incredible!!!

Love the title! Reminds me of the red pillow pic..... Yes his voice is amazing! I hope to see him on the 23rd in Chicago. I also hope that I am not in charge of Thanksgiving dinner this year with about 15 people!

I hear ya about the Thanksgiving dinner. I'm going to Chicago, from the southern most of Illinois, and I don't plan on cooking a thing, other than a huge hangover. I haven't been to a concert since the late 80's, and I was a huge concert goer, and then Marty had to emerge and here I go again, oh my. Looking forward to the concert this year, and not the loud turkey dinner. Later

Hi BBE, Boy! that thread caught my attention quicker than the speed of light... You tease... ;D Now, I will go and cry because the thread wasn't what I hoped it to be! Just kidding. I agree that Marty's pipes are large(and looking fine I might add) and powerful enough that I think he wouldn't even need a mike to belt out the songs he sings. You're so lucky to had seen him, and I'm still a waiting to see him...

I could practically see his voice box when he had his mouth open wide during "Don't Change" on RS:INXS. ;D
