Radio station WRZX in Indy played Trees! I emailed the DJ Nikki at the station to promote the new CD and here is the email I got back today. Hey there, Denise! I feel ya, Sister! I'm definately on board with MC/and the LH's!! We've already played TREES, and it was to Huge possitive response. Hopefully we can keep them on and Indy will "take" to these boys....fingers are crossed!

You'd think we would hear it here (here here - ha ha) in So. California with all the rock stations we have. Well, I guess I'll have to turn off my Lovehammers CD's to see if they're actually playing it on the radio. God knows I've requested it enuf..... So excited! "Can't hardly wait....!" "I was eager for the cd before....but now....oh man.......I think this cd is going to blow away everyone and surpass all expectations............
But hey......didn't we all know it would happen.......??and Stiletto - a big high 5  to that... |

Ok, I never listen to commercial radio, opting for XM instead. I'm going to have to change my tune because our local New Rock Alternative 93.5/95.3 The Rock (and the only GOOD rock station in the E. Central Illinois area) has Trees/Marty Casey and Lovehammers as #17 on their spinlist of the top 30! How freakin' cool is that!?!?! Now I must go and be their love slave....  |

There's no lament, no screaming "I know there's more for us in this life..." which I sort of missed (but not as much as I'd have thought had I been asked beforehand.) I'll admit I was scared half to death that these original songs would be changed so much that we "purists" who've been singing along for months would be angry. This version of Trees only fills me with excruciating anticipation for the new CD. Y'no....if you think about it....it makes sense.........they WANT to hit as wide an audience as they possibly can with their music..............and (trying not to make this offend anyone).....not everybody out there is into the screaming sound of LH that we all have come to see as a part of their music......... And like I've stated before in another post......alot of us latched onto Marty and then LH from his performances on RS.......and we were ALL impressed with the way he stood still.....looked into the camera........and sang his *ss off.....without so much of the screaming..........god...WYWH is a perfect example........many many people think he sang it better than Waters for crying out loud..........and the way he made Britney look by totally improving her song....lol I was eager for the cd before....but now....oh man.......I think this cd is going to blow away everyone and surpass all expectations............ But hey......didn't we all know it would happen.......?? Amen, brother. I agree with you totally. Now if the stations here would just start playing LH ..... |

Still waiting to hear it here. Keep flipping from LH downloads to radio when I am in the car on the chance it may be there. I will probably freak out when it does come on.

hi, someone else asked this so it can't be too dumb a question...what type of radio station should I be contacting..I dont think its alternative, is it top 40? adult contemp? rock ?
can't wait to hear the song! will email my fave station, they play everything!

The radio station here that I found it on is Modern Alt Rock, which plays Korn, Disturbed, NIN, Tool, Cold, Nickelback, etc. And Thank God for that! I was afraid I was going to have to listen to top 40....  |

Stiletto, I did the same thing last night on my way home from work. It was so frustrating because. . . and I'm not kidding . . . every station was playing a different song from Rockstar (by the original artist). My first gut reaction was always 'THAT'S IT!" and I finally had to stop and settle for The Killers singing Mr. Brightside because I was giggling too much and it was distracting me from the road (really, really foggy). We're nuts . . . but I just really want to finally see Trees go mainstream . . . and then get some reaction from people who aren't as deep into it as we are. And I'm on the edge of my seat for the video. |

I check in on the boards frequently, but I'm usually so far behind in posts that it is hard for me to get in on conversations. Some times I skip whole pages of posts, or I would never get caught up! I live in east central Illinois, not far from Champaign where Marty went to college. The station doesn't appear to have a 'listen on line' feature, so I guess I'll have to try for the 10 minute drive between home and office. I found it by checking online for websites of the area stations most likely to play LH music, and found it on the playlist. Hope you find a station in your area where you can hear it. (I haven't heard it yet, but I'm pretty sure it would be the cd version.) |
