Yes, the photos make me weep and dream and long and feel more young and delirious than I can imagine. The music makes me want to party and be free. The way Marty carries himself makes me aspire to be as self assured. But I will never get enough and I pray that Marty will share himself with us over and over again. I am so glad to find that I am not alone. Thanks

That's a good question and what I really mean is that it is good to know that I am not alone. I do need a community to go through this with. This Marty door in my life seems to be opening up all kinds of feelings in me and being able to feel the connection with others is already very helpful. I have actually been feeling guilty about being infatuated with another man, being a newlywed and all myself. But it is just another facet of my life. In an alternate universe I get ALL of Marty, but in this one I just get to be an onlooker and dream...

Never thought you'd ask Palari.... I looked this up in the old Websters' loooong time ago and one definition is "When one or more people are doing the same behaviour"So Welcome Joely, you ARE in the right place... Oh, and I use this definition all the time as a rational when my behaviours look like they are "Special" and people are looking at me in a curious way. We're all normal with colours and languages to match I think you'll find at least 100 of your "normal" style here oops I underestimated make that 501

Joely...I love the alternate universe...and I totally understand what you are going through....
we are Marty's women...its just the way it is...
I don't know what he did or how he did it but I fell in love...head over heels, heart, mind, body and soul...
he owns me now...its just a fact of life...
so again...welcome...to the Martyverse...

Welcome joely. Don't feel guilty about your infatuation with the man. We all feel that and most of us are married with kids! This is a great place and such a wonderful support system when you find yourself in the middle of a Marty Meltdown!

Oh, thank you for the help in not feeling guilty. It does help that my husband is as crazy for Marty as a straight man could be, but he is not an obsessive type or a woman, so he cannot totally get it. Do any of you actually articulate to your men how you feel about Marty??

Oh, no! Darlin' my husband is the anti-Marty. Loved him on RS, actually wanted him to lose to be with the LHs (like I did), but when he noticed I was a little tooooo into Marty he changed. We don't talk about Mr. Casey in my house. Which is why I love the board so much. I can come on and talk about my feelings, laugh, cry, etc. Glad you found your way here girlie!

I have a GREAT hubby! I lured him in slowly to this Marty obsession. I know he does not get it, but he knows that I am completely flipped over this man and he laughs at me. He even wants to find me a poster to hang on the bedroom ceiling now. I'm not trying to stop him either!

I am a lucky woman - my husband totally "gets" my thing with Marty. He understands it's a multi-dimensional obsession - there's the physical hotness factor - but how many mud wrestling bikini girls has he drooled over in his life, right? ;D Besides, he has had to share my attention with a deep seated Peter Murphy obsession since we met, so it's not a new thing for him! More importantly he gets that it's about what Marty communicates through his music and his performances that really hooked me - that tells me that my husband understands me on all my levels, supports what paths I need to follow and trusts that I will bring him with me on my journey. I only hope when he falls for some girl and wants to spend a good portion of his time talking and thinking and posting about her, I will have the same understanding... I am glad to share this Martyverse with all of you - are we Martyrs?

Marty has changed so many things for me, I actually feel alive again. I know that's corny but I've been in a stagnant rut for so long I'd pretty much resigned myself to "Life In A Coma". Then Marty came along. From the first time I saw him on RS I was a goner and my heart came alive again. IK know I'm obsessed but I'm embracing that because to tell you the truth, it feels great! ~o~ Angel ~o~

Hope Marty knows how lucky he is to have all the women on this board swoonin'.... If nothing more happens in his life, at least he can tell his grandchildren that women loved him all over the world. We all have different reasons for being on this board. I'll admit it, Marty's actually not my type, I've never been a blue-eyed, blonde hair kind of girl. However, I think he's an INCREDIBLE person and a REALLY GOOD MAN, that in itself is very noteworthy in my opinion and totally worth the effort to help him gain great success. All that being said, I still dig his smile.... ;D ;D

I'm glad to read the description of normal - it makes it so much easier to belong here.
My husband had been so sweet to let me run around and fullfull my Marty obsession.
He went to the Highland concert with me. (He went for INXS - I ran around while they played to find Marty!)
When I went to Viper with my sis, he reluctantly agreed.
When I went to Vegas-Hard Rock with the girls, he was not a happy camper and became the Anti-Marty.
Since then, it was touch and go but now we can freely talk about Marty in the house. I actually got him to watch a few RSINXS shows with me and he agreed that Marty's version of Wish You Were Here was awesome!
Now we are a happy Marty Loving Family again.
Now, I just have to see what happens the next time Marty comes through town and I need another road trip???
