Back in Canada
Alright - In Toronto. Tonight is round 2 before we head to Detroit. Used to the cold, so it's all good.
As you know, we were back in Chicago for 5 nights last week. Good thing is we were able to set up our own show at Joe's and still play the Chicago Theater with INXS. Bad thing is I spent all my money and drank too much. Thank God we are back on the road.
Thanks to all of you who came out to Joe's on such a last minute deal. Really cool to hang with so many people at Hard Rock and Rockit Saturday night. The Virgin in-store: Great to see so many people out on a cold Saturday afternoon. The acoustic shows are fun for us to play - gives us a chance to mix it up a bit.
OK mis amigos - bus call in 30 mins. Gotta get my shit together.
Laters,
Bobby

1 Year 2 The Day!
Exactly one year ago today I first auditioned for the reality TV show Rockstar: INXS. I had no idea at that first audition that it would forever change my life and eventually the lives of a few of my best friends. I went in the audition and sang two songs. I picked-up my acoustic guitar and played The Tunnel and then followed with The Riddle. The casting people told me that they though my voice had alot of potential but they were looking for a front man and not a singer-songer strummer. They told me to learn an INXS song and come back the next day. I went home and learned Listen Like Theives and got the instrumental track for Trees from Chicago Recording Company where we had recently worked on the song. I went in the next day and I was not on the list for callbacks. I told them thay asked me to come back and I stayd up all night learning this INXS track. They let me have my second audition. I sang trees with the backing track and went "Mad Conductor" on em (I never would have thought there would be a term for what I do onstage!). Next up they asked me to sing an INXS song. I told them I wanted to do LLT and they said they didn't have a backing track for that song. SOOO I did it acapella. It went over pretty well but I think I screwed up some of the lyrics. I just made up what I didn't know. It's tough to learn a song in 24 hours time and hit all the lyrics! Lastly I brought up my friend Ben Kelly and we did an acoustic jam of Rockin in the Free World. We did not rehearse it, we just tore it up. After the ja m session I was on-camera interviewed for about 30 minutes by a beautiful sweetheart named Michelle. I told her about my musical history and than we talked about replacing Michael Hutchence and if it could be done. It was a really intense interview.
Well, it's one year later. I was on national TV for 3 months. I made some incredible new friends. I jammed with INXS and Dave Navarro. I released my major label debut with Lovehammers on Epic/Burnett record label. I have embarked on a world tour with my friends. Sometimes it's hard to believe it's all true. The best part of all of this has been introducing our music to new listeners every day and growing in strength as we meet so many amazing people across the world. I am hungry for another great year and it has started off with a bang. What a difference a year can make. Keep your head up and your dreams in sight. Rathma...
