I'm glad that INXS picked J.D. Fortune for their new lead singer. So glad that Marty did not win. That band wasn't for him. If it weren't for that show, I would not have seen Marty perform. Marty kicks ass! Don't ever change your style! Hope to see you soon, in Tampa!! Tea

Hey Tea, Welcome to the board! I think there is quite a lot of consensus on this board about Marty and the Hammers (although he would have kicked ass as INXS singer, too.) Hope you'll post lots. Feel free to PM me if u have any questions.

I totally agree. I don't think I would have gone to see INXS, and hence not introduced to the lovhammers - imagine. Who would I be daydreaming about then???

I am too glad that INXS didn't pick Marty as well. Marty is a creation all his own. INXS, I feel wanted someone that they could control. JD is not a bad choice for INXS. But I remember the interview from RS, when the band was meeting with the performers, INXS said something to Marty about control and Marty applied that he needs to be in control. Then Marty said something about taking the INXS in a whole different direction as far as music. INXS was not ready to go in a different direction nor did they want a new lead singer to take control. So they picked JD, A much easier choice. They had someone that they could control, They had someone that could sing and they could still be the creators of the music. I am glad for Marty and the Lovehammers that Marty is where he is today.

I was feeling a little withdrawal last night so I took out my old rockstar video and started watching, I hadn't watched them in a while, last time I watched them I was not part of mc.org and now that I am part of mc.org and have become more knowledgeable about Marty it was really different it was almost like I was watching someone I know. And I also noticed that the others on the show just seemed like fill ins like Marty was the star and they were just cast members.. oh well anyway I'm glad I still have those tapes although I am worried because they seem to be distorted already, does any one have them on DVD, I would purchase a copy if possible...just pm me thanx..

Hello and welcome to the boards tea! I am also very glad that Marty did not become the lead singer of INXS because it would just not be right.
Hope to see you around!
