Computer lingo...need a crash course

Hi everyone
I am not too popular with participating in these message boards, and as a result, I am not familiar with the lingo people are using here.
What does BTW mean?
Also, I figured out LOL as laugh out loud, I originally thought it meant "lots of love," but a friend told me I missed the boat on that one.

Any other terms and symbols people use......can someone give me a crash course so I know what you all are talking about.
