I read this article ( click) today about women who's driver's licenses have been suspended without their knowledge because they never changed their name on the Social Security card after they got married and changed their name. If you're caught driving on a suspended license, you may be arrested and will be fined. A new system designed to catch dead beat parents, which is now being used by the Department of Homeland Security, is catching this and suspending licenses. This is in Georgia, but it could be in other states too soon, if it's not already being used there. So, make sure your name on your Driver's License matches the name on your Social Security Card. In Georgia, you can check the status of your driver's license here: www.dds.ga.gov/ .
