This thread is a How To Guide to MySpace (or "MySpace for Dummies" lol). You will find various information on how to customize your Space. If you need help post here. This thread is not for addresses.
Intro to MySpace:
Do you have a MySpace account?
If you do, go to this thread and make sure you're on the Hammerhead list.
If you don't, why not? It's free! Just go to www.myspace.com/ and set up an account. MySpace is a great way to network and meet people with common interests, and it's a GREAT way to Spread the LOVE!
What you can do with MySpace to Spread the LOVE:
Lh-ify your MySpace.
You can customize your space to make it fit your personality (and to proclaim your Hammerhead status).
Use one of these profile generators to customize your space:
MyGen
Customyzer
These are just suggestions. There are hundreds of other sites out there for this.
BTW, the wallpapers that are available at Lh.com can be used as backgrounds for your myspaces. Just upload them to a photobucket account.
Comments
People leave comments on their friends' pages to say Thanks for the Add, Happy Birthday, Have a good weekend, or just anything! You can leave any pictures as a comment on a friend's myspace page by uploading the picture to your photobucket.
You can find some Lh comment pics in the MySpace Graphics thread in the Creativity Vault.
When you use the tag code from photobucket to post your comment pic, it looks like this:
If you replace the "http://photobucket.com" (in the first part of the code) with "http://myspace.com/lovehammers" then your comment pic will be a link to the Lovehammers MySpace.
Centering your friends & comments
If you want to center your friends and comments under everything else, place the following code at the end of your "I like to meet section":
</table></tr></td>
Check out my MySpace to see what it would look like:

This allows your friends to post wide pics without stretching out the width of your space.
How to have up to 24 Top Friends:
Go to your "Home" page on myspace. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and Click on "Change My "Top Friends". On the next page there's a drop down menu. Click on it and choose "Top 24" (or whatever number you want). Then drag and drop your friends to the Top spaces.
This will show up to 24 friends on your myspace page instead of the standard 8.
