Hubby and I just celebrated our 10th anniversary and decided to do something really silly and original for presents. In order to spend more fun (g rated ) time together, we are buying each other games that we like to play. So, he is an avid xbox player and I am not but will buy a game for us to play together. HELP!!!!Can anyone suggest a game that we could both enjoy? He likes shoot 'em up action games and racing as well while I prefer less/no violence, intellectually stimulating family friendly games. I always loved the game 'Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego' awhile back. You know, back when it was on the computer and came with an atlas. Is there something like that for the both of us?

Er...I dunno...well...Soul Calibar 2 is pretty fun. It's a fighting game, kinda like Tekken or Mortal Combat.

These places have ratings for all systems and games, and would tell you what the game is rated(E rated games are usually mild in violence). Unfortunately, XBox has some of the more mature/violent games than the other two systems; GameCube/Nintendo systems have the least. www.gamefaqs.comwww.gameinformer.com/default.htmegm.1up.com/

I believe SC2 is rated Teen. Some of the Starwars games are good. They're shooters, but rather hilarious to play in multiplayer mode if only because there're few things as fun as sneaking up on your best friend and shooting him right as he realizes you're there.

It probably is. You never know if you'd hate those shooters and fighting games, too. I hated them until I played one. My brothers don't like it when I play because I get...involved.

My brother never lets me play with his friends and him anymore because they don't like it when a Wookie drops his weapon and straight up mauls them.

I would recommend that you go to the source XBOX.COM . The website has all of the games they have for the product and the soon to be released games.
The site offers you the game ratings and gives you a detailed description of the game title. That way you and your husband can decide together what games will work for you both.
Game Informer also is great for other Gamers opinions on games.
The one thing is that with games (like many things) it is your preference. I've bought games off others opinions, but sometimes I still don't like them. Other times the opinions have been on the mark.

I'm an avid fan of the Star Wars games as well, and recommend SW:Battlefront II if you want to go the fun shooter route. More fun two player games are pretty much any Sonic the Hedgehog games with multiplayer options...those are always fun family games. I also agree with Mad For Marty, EA sports games are always fun! Oh! And I'm a fan of NASCAR games as well when looking for some good wholesome multiplayer racing. Hope that helps!
