reading this thread brought back so many memories - yes shoulder pads were a must and big hair - well I've always kind of had that as my hair frizzes out of control all the time! ;D ;D ;D Loved Wham! and of course George Michael - had the flourescent fingerless gloves and the pink & blue eyeshadow - I was born in '75 so must of looked a fright!  Didn't realise the fashions were so close all around the world! Parachute pants never made it in my house - but I remember the tight jeans and remember all girls having perms & putting bits of lace & stuff in their hair to look like Madonna (lucky star time!)  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Love the pics of you guys - and thanks for the memories! First song played on MTV Europe was Money for Nothing by Dire Straits - bit of 80's trivia there!  |

I have been waiting for parachute pants to come back.  I don't believe that I would look as good in those as I might have at one time.  Mad, love the big hairband hairstyle...lots of Aquanet and teasing huh. Dawn that is interesting to know what song was first played there, I didn't realize it was different. Ok, so right now the big energy drink is Rockstar and Monster, but remember back then the big drink was  I was looking for a picture of Sun Country wine coolers too, that was the cheepest way to drink back then, and they came in 2 liter bottles.  |

I could spend all week searching for 80's stuff. That was a fun decade. To start, we bought our first house at a mortgage interest rate of 14.5% but the house only cost $57,000 w/3 bds & 2 ba. One of my favorite hair bands back then were these guys:  |
