HH - take your time and be well. Sorry to hear that you are under the weather. This is a FUN project, so please do not feel stressed out about it. I am working on the second Billy song with some folks and we are working on the Dino song. If we are ready for the cruise, great, if not, then we never intended to do it live there anyway. So we will see. Not to worry. Take care and hope things get better for you. Boston

Well, an issue in the family that has been on the back burner for several years is apparently about to rear its ugly head and probably temporarily louse up my work on this. My dad has been suffering with Multiple Myeloma for several years and with medication, they have been able to hold it back. It is my understanding that this is no longer true, and the illness no longer controllable. I'm going to visit him and my mom this weekend and find out what's coming up although I am guessing bad news. Sorry to be a downer but it seemed appropriate to mention it as dealing with some related issues has been eating at both my time and frankly, my sanity, I guess. We seem to have a lot of people dying around us lately and it is getting to be such a regular occurrence that it is easy to get a little freaky or whatever ya wanna call it. I'm not giving up on ANYthing but there are only so many hours in the day. Don't know what else to say about it.

HH - Be well. Family always comes first. I wish the best for you and your family.
Not to worry about our fun little project. I do not think that we are in a position to do anything for the cruise at this point anyway.

And a note regarding doing anything for the cruise - in further discussion with the organizers who are trying to get everything nailed down to a schedule, it was determined that if we can't have something *ready* by April 1st it will be too late to work it into the schedule. As I see that there is already some thought that we wouldn't be able to make it happen anyway I think it might be best to consider a live Hammercruise performance as a dead issue.
That still does leave open some possibilities for Friday evening, just depending on who will be around at that time and have anything ready to demo or other wise play with..........

And on a more personal note, I'd like to thank those who have left some kind comments. I visited with my dad over the weekend and am rather distressed by his condition, which isn't very good. I think we are down to waiting at this point for the end. No fun.

THought I would give everyone an update where we are since it has been a little quiet. Iwo and Star have created a song for Marty. I know they have it on a shared drive somewhere. Will dig that out and post again. We will probably want to do another version so we can create separate tracks and then merge. I have someone working on the software for that. HH and I have been working on the Billy song. I think we are going to end up with 2 songs. I have someone doing the vocals ( since I cannot hold a tune ;D ;D). We have hammered out most of the melody and chorus, now working on the guitar solo, intro and exits. We did this last weekend and it was so much fun . I cannot imagine having the good fortune to be able to create music for a living. I am now very jealous HH is still working on his, but as you have read, is slowed down due to family problems. We will wait, as long as it takes and help HH. I am also working on lyrics for Dino with Nancy. I have not had a lot of time to do this, but should crank something out this weekend. I would really love a new volunteer to do the vocals. Anyone new want to sing ? Bobby - we have some starting lyrics and Cheza has said she will work on it, as her schedule permits. So all in all, things are progressing. It will take a little more time and then we need to figure out how to package and present it to the guys. Plenty of time for that. Anyone wanting to contribute, please let me know. And as is, with the Billy song, we can have more than one per band member. So if you are interested Just Do It !!!! Later, Boston

Drum Roll, please And so we come to one of my favorite songs. This is a tribute to a very special man who has more heart and soul than imaginable. I was asked not to mention any names who helped me with this, but I am sure that 100% of you will guess it right. When we deliver the Tribute, we will definitely keep it a secret, I promise. So here is the debut, of the lyrics to the tribute for our favorite bass player. Ok, cannot resist, another drum roll please. My Intrepid Friend They said go home They said, your day has come It’s just fate, she said Need to plan, no time to wait And out of the crowd he came Nothing would ever be the same He said, oh no – friend you will not go We make our own fate, no such thing Chorus He’s a rockstar, rockstar Sexy Greek God plays his bass But first – he’s my hero My star My light My intrepid friend Little Frankie – she’s just a canine To lose her would be a damn crime He said – oh no – friend you will not go And saved that dog from a terrible fate What price, you ask, this heroic deed? Say goodbye to his only dream Some would say – what a fool She said, oh no - friend not on this day And saved his dream from its destined fate Chorus 2 He’s a rockstar, rockstar But he is a man A real man He is the one who will stand strong When the world is all gone wrong Chorus 2 - repeat

Thanks Bostongirl for the update. As for the Bobby song, would it be possible to post what you have or PM me? I'm sure I can come up with some more lyrics if needed. That Dino song is awesome!!!!!! Excellent job . I know he'll be touched by it.

It reflect the current situation very well. The true friendship is timeless and more importantly not based on fame. Thumbs up for the anonymous writer and you Boston
