Diary Post from lh.com:
August 28, 2006 thank you
so....this has been a long time for me!!! posting that is....I hope I can convey to all the fans how greatful I/theband & crew are for all their support on this tour. From the "care packages", homemade dinners and just seeing familiar faces at several shows; thank you thank you thank you to infinity!!!! WOW. For fear of omitting people; I dont want to name names but you know who you are.....It is great to see all of you from show to show.....hopefully we do it again soon. This tour was a great success dammit. Please stick with us because it means alot to my spirits as it is a little wearing touring in a van and continuing the do it ourself work ethic. But it recharges me every night to get on stage and see all of you!!!! I really mean that. Hopefully, we can all see it through to become one hell of a Behind the Music underdog story.....At the beginning of the year, I really thought would we were finally getting our turn at bat...it did not happen and I wallowed for a couple of months wondering what now.....Well, as this tour progressed I figured out what now......A loyal fan base that enables us to continue to pursue our dream is whats now!!! Keep at it and we will do our part....you all really have inspired me once again! Thank you

I felt like crying after reading Billy's message. They have to do this alone?? What kind of crap is that?? Where the hell is their management, their label?? Same ol', Same ol'...Getting fed up with it. But I agree with aspasia. I'm not going anywhere either. They can all have a hug from me when they come back to Oregon. Make it soon Please!!!!

Billy - We're here for the band no matter how long it takes. I was just thinking today about something Marty said on RS:INXS - that he was "patiently controlling" (I love that line! ). Your patience and TALENT!!!!! will pay off soon enough.

I questioned their choice of management the very second they chose Doc McGhee. I have heard nothing but bad things about him and the crappy way he manages artists. I really hope the boys break ties with him soon 'cause from what I can see, he isn't doing squat to help further their career. But yeah, I'm in this for the long haul! As long as LH continues to give us kick-ass music, I'll be there!

Well, the guys have said nothing but great things about him and their management company. I think Lh is old enough and smart enough to make their business choices wisely. The fact is that no one "makes it" overnight. It takes a long time and persistance for any artist to make it.

All bands tour by themselves. Nobody's management company or record label goes with them on tour.
You all need to remember that although Lovehammers are signed to a major label, they've still not "made it big." That's why it's important for us to continue to Street Team, tell friends about the band, call radio stations, etc.

I personally don't know "that much" about Doc, but I do know that the Lovehammers have on numerous occasions spoke about how much they are PLEASED with their management and how well they are all treated as a band. I can bet a million dollars if I had that amount to bet, that if Mr. Dino was unhappy about something, the WORLD is going to hear about it, that's a FOR SURE...hehehe.... From the beginnings of Rock N Roll, to varies other sounds, artists, and public figures....The fans....The street teamers.....The viewing public are the ones that push said bands forward....not management....If it were not for fans calling in to hear their favorite songs be heard, than what would radio be like now?...Oh my on that thought.... It's OUR responsiblity, it's our privelege to promote and support the Lovehammers in their future endeavors, either it be of course radio time, TV time, Touring Times, what ever it may be, that is why we are called fans.....We push them through and reap the reward in knowing that we helped make one of the BEST bands in the world CONQUER it and SPREAD THE LOVE.... Later all Nancy... Just my two cents......oh my....

It's possible that Doc has cleaned up his act in recent years. But I do know of at least 2 well-known bands who fired him over his "questionable business practices".
I'm not saying the boys aren't wise enough to make their own decisions. But the music business is tough and it's hard to find anyone out there you can really trust. I just hope LH are being careful, that's all.

Doc was the manager on VH1's celebreality show, "SuperGroup" ... he made it clear that he wouldn't sign a band unless he felt that they had a real shot (he used the "won't bet on a horse that can't run" analogy). He's a businessman, through and through. He and Sebastian Bach had some history, which they cleared up during the show.
And Marty, with his finance background, ain't dumb.
Having said that, I also wonder about how LH are being handled. It doesn't make sense on the surface.
