Wow! he sure did have a lot to say this time... Sounds like he really enjoyed himself. Wish I could have been there too.

So I decided to see if I could find the article Bobby is talking about and I googled memphis + marty casey. One of the links led here: centralstandards.blogspot.com/2006/04/marty-casey-and-lovehammers.html#commentsApparently there is some band with two members named Marty and Casey who also played the Memphis Festival. There's a picture of MCLH's album at the site, but commenters over there never heard of them! There may be some new potential fans lurking over there, so I left a comment saying the Lovehammers are awesome! |

Yes and after reading what they said about MCLH, they do not like the name of the band or do they know anything about them... "Since our last blog (it's been awhile, I know!), there's been some confusion surrounding our Music Fest appearance. Some folks have been concerned/alarmed/outraged at the fact that our faithful drummer and bass player apparently staged a coup and changed the name of the band to the aforementioned MARTY CASEY AND LOVEHAMMERS. Ted and I were shocked, too, as Marty and Casey certainly don't seem like the type to do something like this, let alone come up with a ridiculous name like Lovehammers. I guess "fame" does weird things to people. Well, after doing some research, we learned that Marty Casey was actually one of the finalists on "Rock Star: INXS". His new band will be playing a set at Music Fest, too." I hope these people learned a thing or two about our band in Memphis. |

Well the so-called "ridiculous" band was featured on the Front Page of the paper!!!! - the Central Standards was apparently a pre-festival opening act and weren't even mentioned - funny coincidence abou the names, though.
Hopefully, there will be some curiosity seekers that will click the link that wendy posted - and learn what great music they missed!!
ETA: by the way - loved the diary entry!!! Bobby is just too adorable for words!!!!
