Well, this isn't my experience, but I love to find "converts" . This is a little gem I found reading reviews/recaps of the St. Charles concert on the fortune448 site. This JD fan had some nice things to say about the LH set and later hung out around the tour busses with some friends and had the opportunity to do some "Bobby-gazing". Here's what she said about that. Enjoy: Bobby and Dino came out passed out cup cakes and then messed around with Chicken, Shearer and Jen while I stood and stared at Bobby the drummer. Holy Hell, that guy is talented and a total babe. He seemed to be very down to earth but really other than taking his picture, he really is quite an extraordinarily good-looking guy. I didn’t bother him unless you call staring with your mouth open a bother.

Thanks for posting Linda! I thought the whole cupcake story was adorable! It's nice to know that even J.D. fans can't help but notice Bobby!

o.k. i promised myself i would not get swept up with all this stuff again.... but I have 2 great Bobby encounters and... I love Bobby! HE needs some love. Plus he only has 2 other encounters in his section.
Before the Boca show my husband and I brought our kids to Mizner park to get an ice-cream at about 3:30. Bobby was there as they had just finished sound check. He was out by the buses. We talked to him for about 15 minutes. He was so sweet. My daughter is 5 and was eating chocolate ice-cream.. He said something like "Hey you have choc. all over your face" She laughed.
I had to turn away for a minute to attend to my son, and while I turned away my husband asked him if there was anyway we could get backstage tonight? Bobby was like..... "Backstage sucks.... just come by the buses and hang out with us"
After the show... we went to the buses and he was there. He remembered us and was so cool. We hung out with him for awile, We gave him a beer, and at one point he said "keep your daughter away from Rock and Rollers..." I got several hugs. But the best part was when we put a mustache and glasses on a picture of JD that I had, and he signed it. I'm going to send it to my sister for her birthday. She is a huge JD fan.

I shared a little about my encounter in Bobby's Crib thread. I had a very bad day that day trying to find the guys. Lots of rude people and getting kicked out of the back hallways.
When Dino, Bobby and Billy came out to watch INXS I went right over and hugged Bobby! I may have hugged Billy first. I told him my name and talked to him for a little bit. I remember I kept touching his arm and every time he would glance down at my hand resting on his arm.
I was shaking and just blubbering away and felt like an idiot but he was very polite and smiled. I told him I was having a bad day and told him the events that made it bad. He was so sympathetic. When I saw him at the meet and greet, he said "Oh, Hi!", seemed glad to see me again and was very sweet.
So thanks Bobby for making my bad day turn out better!

My son and I had a Bobby encounter last night at the Orpheum in MN last night. My son REALLY likes bobby because he loves drums and Bobby is amazing on the drums. We actually had an 'encounter' with all the band members but want to give them individual credit for being amazing!!!
After the set, Bobby came out from behind the drums and walked up and handed my son a drum stick. At the M&G my son handed him a sketch he had done of Bobby on the drums and he was just SO sweet to him. He asked him his name and thanked him so much for his drawing. He signed the drumstick for him and just totally made his night. My son is hearing impaired and had a hard time hearing anything they were saying to him and I couldn't sign because my hands were full of coats, etc. Bobby just made an extra effort to be sure my son heard him and how grateful he was to get the sketch. Dino then threw a DINO guitar pic over and said 'Here is a guitar pick in case you change your mind about being a drummer! It was very cute!

My Bobby encounter is best summed up like this: Note: This picture was taken by the artistically inclined chitowngirl whose vision and sense of timing are unparalleled. Her superior photography skills are a wonder and are surpassed only by her modesty.

It's so funny and I didn't realize until the next day when I looked at my autographed CD booklet and didn't have Dino's signature. I was in such rush to get to Bobby at the meet and greet I skipped right by Dino entirely! Oops.
