Posted by: andrea ;D omg I had a great time at the show last night, I was determined to meet the guys because I missed them at the metro after flying there from CA. anyway I did what rockbeast did we were back about to the middle and no one else was dancing so I told my niece lets go find empty seats up front where inxs fans have not come yet, and we did we got 2nd row in front for most of the lovehammers set, got kicked out about last three songs when the inxs fans came to claim their seats it was so cool being that close to them rocking out and dancing with about maybe 30 other lovehammer fans, some who did the same as us, really recommend this to get up close for lovehammers, anyway I missed the whole inxs set because I went to the lobby to see if I could see the guys, sure enough after the 2nd inxs song there was Marty walking through the lobby a few of us lovehammer fans grabbed him and got pictures, signed shirts, hugs, I even saw one lady kiss him on the mouth, I was jealous about that but I did get a long hug while taking a picture, and talked to him for a while told him about my kids now like to listen to him on the way to school, he liked that, he was so nice to the kids there, I wanted to give him a gift and I did not know or have time to get something meaningful, so I gave him a business card with a free puppy for a Casey family member so he could give a family member a gift worth $700. or $800. of a pure bred Shihtzu puppy which I breed and even plugged him on my nursery page under the puppy I named Marty. check it out. www.pawsitivelyshihtzu.com I hope he uses it and someone gets the free puppy they are great dogs. anyway we got pictures and lots of hugs from all the guys, I don't know how to put them on here so I emailed them to Cindy she will do it soon. after the concert we went outside and got more pictures of them and others around them, they all were very sweet and talked to us about everything, bobby said we are just regular guys that went to college! Dino gave the best hugs and lots of them, he is so hot in person, I think I love him as much as Marty now, he said to me was I suppose to buy you a beer, I said no it must have been someone else, darn! it was cute! Billy was great also and gave me 4 guitar picks with his name on them and the lovehammers name, he is way more cute in person and very sweet and shy. we were the last ones at their bus talking to them and Bobby and he was very nice to talk with, we asked him if Marty really wanted to lead sing for inxs and he made a face and said we were just like what do we have to do! so I think he was saying No it was just for exposure for lovehammers. Then we saw JD over at his bus and Bobby said you better go over there its your only chance, and he wanted to go back in his bus, I saw Marty sitting in his bus smoking, it was kind of funny. My niece got the last picture with JD and he said this is the last one, so I said then I get a hug, and he gave me a big long hug and a Kiss on my cheek and I did not even watch his set, why could I not get the kiss from Marty? So many JD fans would be so jealous of me right now, I was laughing about that all the way home. this is too long so I better go now, if I think of something else I will write later, bye all for now, it was the best experience I have had in a long time! Andrea from Sacramento Hi again, I forgot something funny Marty said, we told him the security would not let us dance upfront in front of the stage, you had to be at your seat, so that was a drag, He said to us, "What is this, Footloose? You can't dance in San Francisco?" and then his buddy said, "We're in Oakland" and Marty was like, "So you can't dance in Oakland?" he is very funny and sweet! you can sneak your camera in your purse but if you take a picture during the concert and get caught they will take your camera away and I don't know if you can have it back, but in the lobby if your careful you can take a picture but I had to check it after they saw me using it to get back in to see the last two inxs songs, so I did. got it back when inxs ended with a tag to claim it. Andrea

Posted by: desinsantarosacaWell, here's my try at telling all of you how great it was to see the LH's in concert. First, the Paramount in Oakland is a really cool art deco theater. All the floor seating is great, but we looked at the balcony seating and we were glad we didn't have those seats. The LH's started right at about 8:02 and played for about 45 minutes. Their set list was similar to others I've seen posted from the earlier shows. They opened with Ultrasound (amazing) and the last three songs were Ring of Fire, Trees and Straight As An Arrow. I was there with my 11 year old daughter and our seats were about 23 rows back. Unfortunately there were LOTS of ushers that kept everyone to their assigned seats and made people sit down who were standing/dancing. I got to stand for about the first four songs, but was told to sit down. What's wrong with the world today! The crowd was obviously mostly older INXS fans because it took until toward the end of the set before all the seats were filled. The LH's sounded awesome and I was amazed to hear Marty's voice was even better and stronger than I had imagined. He is gorgeous in person, almost "pretty" (that's a compliment - really) , and the other band members are very good looking too (more on that later). Billy did a great job singing on parts where there is backup, so much better than I had thought he might be. Marty thanked INXS for giving them the opportunity to go on the road with them and to get the crowd ready for "their phenomenal show" (very gracious!). Later in the set he said they are LOVEHAMMERS, not Marty Casey and the Lovehammers. He really seemed to want to get this across to the crowd. A bit later he told the crowd they were excited about their CD coming out at midnight that night. At one point he went halfway down the middle isle and stood on one of the seats and sang for a bit. I wished I was on that side! All the band is fun to watch, but as I have seen others write it's hard to take your eyes off of Marty. Marty told the crowd he wasn't beyond going out in the crowd and lifting people out of their seats. I wish he had! I'm 42, but by no means am I a party poop like some of the audience was. The last big concert I saw was Prince and everyone was dancing their butts off. The LH's got everyone standing for Ring of Fire, Trees and Straight As An Arrow. Finally the ushers left us alone! I brought a disposable camera, but wasn't close enough to get very good pics of the show. They didn't check my purse when I came in. I should have brought a digital. The lights went on quickly after their set was over so there wasn't much hope of an encore. We hung out in the lobby, met a couple of LH fans and waited for the intermission to be over and the INXS show to start so we could watch for the guys in peace for the meet and greet. A couple of songs in the INXS show I think it was Andrea who calmly whispered to me "There he is". Marty was in the middle of the main lobby on his cell phone. We later found out he was waiting for a college friend he hadn't seen in ten years to come in the front entrance. He was amazingly gracious as a few of us went up to talk to him. He offered hugs as he met everyone. Good hugs too! Can you believe it! It just goes to show how special and sincere he is. He liked that I had a black, classic Lovehammers ladies tee on. He signed by MOMM CD too. I told him we tried to get the audience more into the show, and again he was VERY gracious and said "They don't know our songs yet". He also liked that I told him that Casualty was awesome. Everyone was very cool and Marty seemed so pleased that we all liked them so much. I have a great picture of him with my 11 year old daughter. She is very shy and he gave her a big hug, and she tells me he told her she was very pretty (she is). She dosn't really like boys yet, but I thought it was interesting she told me the next day "they even smelled good" (after meeting Dino, Billy and Bobby too). Marty was there by himself with us for quite a while, then Dino came out. I asked him how he's doing and he said he still couldn't hear out of his left ear, but he was getting better. He blamed it on the airplane flights. He's really nice and funny. We met Billy and he was very sweet and talkative. He seemed very genuine. Last, out came Bobby and he was just as easy going and cool as the rest of them. It's an experience I'll never forget. I've never been to see a group, big time or local, who was so cool to their fans. ;D

Posted by: ElleBeeI'll add my two cents that Oakland was totally awesome. The guys did such an unbelievable job--lots of energy and they sounded amazing. I met Marty and Dino out in the lobby too and they were totally gracious and cool to talk to. Marty even asked me if he could have a hug. (Umm...yeah!) And Dino signed my MOMM twice--one his "old way" and once his "new way". (I guess Dino's giving a new sig a little test drive...) My only disappointment was the audience. There were obviously some totally cool Hammerheads there but there were also a lot of people sitting like they were in front of their @% TVs or something. (The guy in front of me even got pissed that I had the nerve to be standing up because he couldn't lean as far back in his seat. Umm...dude, we're at a *rock concert*. Why don't you get off your @$$ and then there won't be an issue. ) Made me feel bad for the guys that they had to look out at all these bumps on logs but from what desinsantarosa said, it sounds like Marty has the right attitude about it. And the lucky Hammerheads that managed to get past the rule-nazi ushers and to the front totally rocked it out for them. Anyway, obviously another thumbs way up review from Oakland! Lovehammers totally blew down the house!

Posted by: madamerubiThe concert last night was awesome. When Marty came down the center aisle my friends shoved me down the aisle and was just standing there in awe and I touched his jacket and I was in heaven. lol! And then, when he was in the lobby I was litterally shaking. And, ticked off that my camera on my cell phone didn't work, but my friend got an autograph for me, cause I was just standing there and couldn't even talk. lol! But, it was a wonderful evening. I did learn last night, that I'm not really an INXS fan. I loved the show. But, after LH perfomed and I got to see Marty up close and personal, I was ready to go home. lol! LH blew INXS OUT OF THE WATER! They got a smaller part of the stage, and they didn't need the flashy background and fancy light show to kick a$$. I love the Lovehammers!!!!!!!!!!

I am Andrea's niece... omg the concert was so fun!!! I felt really bad about missing part of the INXS set, because I love both JD & Marty... but hanging out in the lobby with Marty, Bobby, Dino, & Billy was so much fun. They are really awesome people, no egos, very down to earth. They would stand there and have a real conversation with you, ask your name, where you're from, and look straight into your eyes when talking. And Dino gives good hugs! Big strong bear hugs! Andrea was right about Billy, he really is very good looking in person! When I was talking to Bobby I asked him how he got that scar on his eyebrow, he told me Dino threw a clock at him. And Marty told me they would be doing a headlining tour this summer, so that's something to definetly look forward to! When he jumped off the stage and walked down the aisle he grabbed my hand and squeezed it for like five seconds, and he has very soft hands! He is very nice in person. And really funny, too! When this woman came up to him and asked for a picture, she said her husband was standing over there holding the camera... and Marty said to him, "Oh, this is your wife?!?!" And he squeezed her really tight and wrapped his leg around her... it was hilarious. And Andrea was so jealous!!! And I know this is a Marty board, but I gotta give a shout out to JD also... He is awesome!!! While he was outside signing autographs and taking pictures with fans, he was like, "Okay, this is the last one..." because his security guy was pulling him away... and as he was walking away I said, "JD, will you pose for a picture with me?" and he turned around and said "Sure" with a smile... so I got the last picture... that was great. He really is such a sweetheart, you guys. He gives great hugs and kisses. He loves and appreciates his fans. And he thanked us for coming to the show. I felt terrible because I only watched maybe 8 or 9 songs from the INXS set... but I vow to go to another INXS show! He did GREAT!!! So did Lovehammers!!! Fun, fun, fun night. I also got autographs from John, Tim, and Gary, which I wasn't even expecting them to come out, so that was cool. BTW, did anyone actually go to the afterparty at the Ruby Room? I got an invitation but I didn't go because they said they were getting on the bus headed for L.A... so if anyone went let me know how it was, if anyone showed up!

Hi everybody. I too went to the Oakland show. This is a long story but a good one. I flew to San Fran from Florida to meet my sister, who lives in Japan. She got me hooked on Rockstar this summer and since then, we have morphed into 39+ year old wanna-be rockers. We feel like we are teenagers again. The two of us saw INXS for free back in 1986 at the Universtiy of Florida. My sister started out this trip as a true JD fan and I am 100% Hammerhead. The giddiness and excitement for the show was the same for the both of us.
We scored 1st row seats behind the pit through a ticket broker. My sister said If I am going to fly my rear-end all the way from Japan, I want to feel the sweat off of JD.
The Show: My sister and I were very giddy and excited so we made signs to hold up for the guys to see. Mine were as follows: "I love you Dino", "Hammer me Bobby", "Rock my World Billy" and "Kiss Me Marty". When Dino came out for Ultrasound, I held up my sign and he saw it right away. He smiled a huge grin and waved (I think). Billy came out and saw his sign too! It was so cool! Marty and Bobby didn't really respond to theirs. As the show went on I was crazy... singing and dancing like the rest of the Hammerheads. We were told to sit down as well and my sister almost got in a fight with the security guard. Needless to say the set was great. Marty walked right by us several times and it was just awesome.
After the set, my sister and I were supposed to get meet and greet passes from a friend of hers that works for Viacom. Before the show, the passes never materialized and her friend gave us several names of people to ask for and call etc... during the break I noticed a message on my phone. The INXS set was starting and I told her I would go out in the lobby to check on the message. So, I go out in the lobby with no sharpie, no camera, and nothing for anybody to sign. I'm talking to this woman on the phone from Viacom and I almost fainted who walks out.... MARTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There were only a handful of people in the lobby and I'm sure some of you who have posted were there. He was so sweet. I was wearing an old pair of jeans... on the leg I wrote in big letters "Lovehammers". He said, I love your pants! so I borrowed a sharpie from someone standing there and he signed my leg! Awesome!!!!!!!!! After that I ran back into the theatre and grabbed my camera. He was just walking out the door and I grabbed him for two pictures.
After Marty left, I ran into Billy when I was walking back into the theatre. He is the nicest guy on the planet! He signed my pocket and I got a great picture.
I went back in because I felt bad leaving my sister by herself durig INXS. I stayed for 2 songs and got so antsy thinking that I was going to miss Dino. That I bolted out of there again. MY luck Dino was in the lobby. He is just as everyone described. Sweet, Humble, funny. He too signed my pocket and made a joke about me not farting!
I went back into the concert and as a result I guess I missed Bobby. Damn!
After the show we again tried to contact someone about the meet and greet passes which were promised to us..... The INXS crew had us wait outside the the door to the stage room for at least 45 minutes.. Nothing. My sister was pretty heartbroken. She brought several gifts for INXS from Japan, a bottle of saki, and this really cool ring that said "good fortune" in Japanese for JD. We never got in and she was in tears.... To make a long story even longer....
Security at the Paramount escorted us out the back of the venue where the buses were. There was Marty standing by the bus. My sister went up to him and decided to give him the ring and the SAki. He was so cool. Looked her in the eye, gave her a huge hug. Tried the ring on... said he loved it and was so appreciative. It was one of those spiritual sweet moments. She was so taken by Marty's kindness. He is such a gentle guy.
Needless to say, It was a great night.

The Lovehammers ROCKED Oakland!! What a great concert!!! I was in the first row behind the pit rocking and dancing every second of the show. At one point Marty walked the the baracade banner and stood directly in front of my friend and I (wish I could remember what song he was singing but my mind went blank at that point!). Marty leaned over and grabbed onto the girls hand next to us as he was singing and rocking. I think my friend went into shock at that point LOL and me.. well my hand wandered a bit and ended up holding onto his waist. We went into the lobby when INXS was playing and were one of the lucky few to meet Marty at the time. I also got to meet Jen (hi Jen!)
