Hi
The show at the Gibson was great, the Lovehammers rock, even though they only played 45 minutes. Marty thanked INXS for all their help and for being a great bunch of guys ...... yada yada....
I loved 'Ring of Fire', at the end of the set, Marty's voice took on a different quality when he sang it, really fantastic.
At one point Marty came into the crowd, right below me to the right, what was that all about?? Anyone know?
When Marty took off his shirt, you could see those abs from the cheap seats! Thud!! Unbelieveable!! I think my heart was pounding as hard as the drums (which were fantastically loud.)
I wish I could have seen them at the Viper room, but the Gibson was an experience I will not soon forget.
Yeah the crowd was mostly INXS fans but Marty got everyone on their feet for the last songs and the band did a killer set. Loved it! Got the T-Shirt!

Before the show started, a bunch of us met up for dinner at CityWalk. Polarfan and her sister/brother-in-law, cjspas, mrsbud and her husband, jodie and her sister. It was awesome to meet all of you, and we need to do it again ASAP!
The show started at 8:15, and when the guys came out, I pinched my husband's leg so hard that he has a black and yellow bruise today. Oops? The crowd really sucked because it was 99% Inxs fans, so there was no Lovehammer lovin' in my section. Except for me and Jodie, screaming our arses off. At one point, Marty jumped off the stage and ran up into the middle section of the seats...I think that's where Mark Burnett and Mig were sitting? Brandon from RockStar was there, too. Saw him in the lobby with some friends. Saw a few cast members from past Survivor seasons, too. Anyway, the show was excellent, of course, but I'm so in love with the Viper room show instead. It was really interesting to experience both shows in one night, because it was like night and day. The subdued Lovehammers at Gibson compared to......dirty, sweaty, hardcore, au natural Lovehammers at Viper. They completely thrived in that element, it was awesome!
After their set, I went out to the lobby and hung out for a bit. I didn't see the guys but kept waiting like a little lost puppy. Hahahaha. My husband was all, "Um, the show has started. Are we still going to wait out here?" So he went back down and I wandered around for another half hour until I found out that they weren't doing any sort of Meet and Greet.
I caught the last 45 minutes of JD and INXS before we headed to Viper. My personal observation after watching him perform after Marty is this: some people pretend to be the rock star, while others are just NATURALLY the rock star. It was painfully obvious. Other than that, I had a freakin' blast. Although my throat's a little soar and my jaw hurts. Ha. I took about 10 pictures, I think. It was hard with all the security in my face, but I did what I could. I'm getting them developed and scanned today hopefully!
PS. I got to see Marty's butt live in person! He has no shame about letting that crack show and I love it.

Posted by ElleBee: Just a quick post because my friend and I are still in LA but Gibson rocked! The only downer was that we got in a big argument with the people behind us because we were standing up during LH and they wanted to be able to sit and see. (Same problem we had at Oakland--what's up with that?!) But we were stubborn and were allowed to be standing so we stayed the course for our boys. It finally ended up that my friend had to go outside and deal with the situation for about 20 minutes. Totally annoying! At the Viper Room, we told Billy and Dino that the reason people aren't standing and rocking out is because they're being told to sit down. We suggested that Marty tell people right away to get up so there isn't any confusion. Dino suggested that we just tell people to f-off and stay standing. So Hammerheads will have to be really stubborn at future shows to show support for the guys. Just remember they can't make you sit down, even if they're trying to peer pressure you into their laziness. But drama aside, Gibson and the Viper Room totally blew down the houses. The LH really seemed to be energized to be in LA. This whole week has been completely amazing--each show seeming like the ultimate but then the next one being even better than the one before. I'm just bummed that the guys are now leaving my turf but I know other Hammerheads will continue the amazing support. Rock on!
