Posted by: chattykathy Marty and his band performed before INXS went on for the DENVER concert on 1/30. i was sitting in row number 1 ! i got some awesome pictures and his guitarist w/ the little beard posed for my picture. i didn't catch anything from Marty's band but i got TIM FERRIS'S pick, GARY's sweatband, and JD gave me a high five. after the concert my mom went to buy Marty's CD as i waited in line to get his CD signed. when it was my turn i told Marty that i really enjoyed it and thought that it was great. Marty, being the cool guy he is, gave me one of his martycasey.org bracelets off his wrist. now i listen to Marty every day and he has about ten more fans!

Posted by: knitterflyTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU!!!!! LH sounded amazing in Denver last night! We wore our wristbands and everyone was asking where we got them. My mother-in-law gave hers to the sweet chick in front of us that let us borrow her binoculars. Marty sounded amazing live and we were blown away by how powerful their sound is coming from just 4 guys! The drums were awesome, Bobby you rocked! We wished we could have met them after, but we had to get up this morning, I'm already draggin' a**...LOL. I'm curious to hear from those who did go after...how was it? was it packed? I just sat in my nosebleed seats thinking OMG Marty is RIGHT THERE!!!! It was great and I can't wait till they come back this way, next time THEY will be the headliner! -E I hated to like JD, he gave me the creeps during the competition, but seeing him live made me see why INXS went with him, I never wanted to be a mic stand more than I did last night! PLUS, by doing so we get the Lovehammers, the four of them are amazing together, MAJOR kudos to Billy, Bobby and Dino! Give JD time to mature, and he'll be allright, it's unfortunate he was sick, he was hoarce at times (I had to silently gloat that Marty's voice was so strong start to finish) and when he mentioned he had been sick, but stuck it out to play Denver I really gaind some respect for him. He is stepping into some huge shoes, but I was on my feet the entire show. I was hoping they'd let Marty come out to do "Don't Change" since he RULED that song on RSINXS and JD's voice was fading, but overall and considering, INXS did a good job....the Lovehammers, though, stole the show!

Posted by: jEzZawarning this is long: ok....lets see a review of Denver...Welp I am no writer (like Penny) but I will try to give the basics. I was staying at the downtown Marriott. It was only 4 blocks from the venue. I walked to the Convention center, taking the loOOoog way around in hope to find the bus. I think this venue had underground parking so therefore no bus could be found. The venue itself was just spectacular!!! I thought maybe I should have been wearing a cocktail dress rather than frumpy attire. It was beautiful. There were table & chairs set out for people to sit/drink/visit . Several mini bars set up etc. It was great. Snappy called to let me know she and her friend were inside ,so we could meet up and hang out. It was cute I said...raise your hand so I can find you...she was like 3 feet away from me. Snappy was really sweet and her friend was just silly...It was great of them to let me tag along with them. Continuing on....we went in to find our seats. Again I just was so excited that this wasn’t the typical venue (sports arena) The rows were all angle inward...so because my seat was, the first seat in my row, it put me right against the stage...seemed like first row to me (glad I didn’t pay $300 would have been a waste) Once I sat down I noticed that Billy was right there standing on stage talking to someone. It was dark of course but I saw him. He had his cute little white beanie hat on. I had planned to say hey when he was finished but they walked off the stage on the other side. ok...so they started the show...AWESOME of course. they Rocked the stage !!! I won’t go into detail cuz well it’s already been done. I will however tell you about my conversion efforts with the ladies around me. These two diehard JD fans sat right behind me. They were so cute. All giggles...we started talking (not sure why) But the girl says to me “Aww were you just heart broken when Marty didn’t win?” I laughed and firmly said NO! I was actually glad. She looked stunned. So I went on to explain about the band every detail possible. Two other ladies next to me joined in the conversation asking questions etc. They actually acted interested. I gave them all stickers and told them to check out the websites....and of course buy the CD. That's when I said, well ladies I am not staying for INXS so your welcome to my seat!! They were confused...I explained that I was off to hunt the boys down...they were eager to take my place. So I ventured off to the lobby...it wasn’t too long before I spotted Billy coming out of a dark hallway door. I headed right for him. I introduced myself reminding him that we met at the Viper and that I had come from AZ. I told him I had a little something for him. I had bought all the boys different wrist/bracelets they were AZ mementos...Indian in nature. I picked them out by color. The main band color was dark Orange it means : Energy they also had traces of white: purity and Blue: peace (I think). He hugged me and said thanks...I keep everything I get, and then asked for the little pull string bag it came in. He said he could keep his pic’s in in. We chatted for a few minutes more. He then ran off to watch a bit of INXS. About 5 minutes later I spotted Bobby. At the time he was just standing by the wall. I walked up to him...same thing as Billy. Told him about the bracelet...introduced myself etc....I told him how great I think they did...how excited I am for their success's etc... He actually wasn’t running off, But I was so fumbling for words I felt stupid. A couple approached us so I went ahead and said. .”I’ll let you go...I‘m just so excited for you guys.” Then I got a hug. Right after I walked away a girl came up to me and asked who it was I was talking to.....I started my lovehammer conversion with her. I also ran into Dan. We talked a lot, about Steve, the tour, the new merch look (eww boys don’t like it) all kinds of stuff. At some point Snappy and friend joined in...and Bobby came over by us. They got a picture. During this little group session Snappy spots Marty. Bailing out of the dark hallway door heading straight for the outside door. He was trying to make a phone call...let me repeat TRYING this girl would not let him be...she even went as far as to open the front door trying to get to him...HELLO HE WANTED TO MAKE A CALL! This same girl announced to the crowd that she was his #1 fan.....I noticed he didn’t give her the time of day. (how rude of her)Once he came back inside I b-lined straight towards him. I told him I had something for him. I had bought him a pewter bracelet with a Indian symbol of a bear claw footprint or whatever. It’s meaning was STRENGTH. I put it on his right wrist. He kept asking me if it was going to fall off. I laughed... “I don’t think so Marty, it’s magnetic” He was concerned he was going to loose it... it was cute. That’s when I got a huge hug and a kiss on the cheek. I asked for a picture with him...handed Dan my camera. He took the shot and then told Dan to take another. I think he said he closed his eyes (but didn’t) so I got 2 pictures!! I told him how proud I was of him. That watching his career unfold and move forward was so exciting. I knew they were in for a ride! That’s when I got another huge hug...I floated away.......By this time the meet & greet line was growing huge...so I sneaked in with Snappy. When I went to grab my stuff to get signed I realized it was GONE!!!! My autographed DVD cover and my MOMM & New CD covers...GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I about died! As anal as I am about my purse (lol Penny & D) I either lost or someone helped themselves to my prize possessions. Snappy was sOOo awesome!!! She actually handed me my choice of the MOMM or L’Strange covers. Isn’t that just too sweet? she also gave me a Dino pick...she had 2!!! So when we went through the line. Marty started to sign his name and says “ Opps upside down and turned it around and tried to sign his name backwards....lol he’s so funny. Next was Dino...he was the only one I didn't get to see yet. So I told him about his bracelet...put it on his arm and then said. “Hi I’m from AZ...my name is Sheli..umm jEzZA”.....he immediately stood up and said I know you...gave me a huge hug. The way he stood up so fast made me feel like he was truly sincere about what he said. I really appreciate that! .........so lets see .......I walked on the other side of the velvet ropes and snapped a few pictures! Even know it clearly says NO PHOTO’S! At one point I yelled Dino! that's when he gave the I luv U hand sign shown in one of my pic’s.....ok next as I was standing around I saw the infamous JD fans who I let sit in my seat. They were so funny...checking out the crowd. I went right over to them and pointed out the Merch. area. I said you NEED to get their CD! They followed me to the stand where I said “Jeremy these ladies need a hook up for a CD” One I saw them take their $ out I said ...u will luv it! and walked away. My other street team experience was I was standing by the door to leave and this couple knocked on the door to come in...as they came in they asked who and what was going on. I told them of course....long story short. I convinced them to buy a CD told Jeremy to hook them up! It was exciting to help spread the love...That's when we left. I just can’t express how incredible these guys are! full of talent and personality! that's it.....I warned you I was NO author...sorry *Photos removed*See the red/Orange bracelets?...Those are mine! Hope they continue to wear them....Keep an eye out for me ok fellow Hammerchicks?

Posted by: thewolvesI was there too. Got to meet the lovely Snappy, her DH and her friend. Jeremy gave us a wristband, which was very cool. Jezza, I saw you getting that picture taken. Sorry I didn't get to actually meet you (I am in the Lh T-shirt getting signed by Marty) The guys rocked ...it was fabulous just as everyone had said. Most people I met had never seen them before. After their set (I guess because of my Lh shirt thought I was with the band) people were coming up to me and telling me how awesome they were and where could they get the cd. I, of course directed them around the corner and told them about the meet&greet. My friend and I also got a lot of people to run and buy the cd while we were in line. People were holding line places for other people and Jeremy even had to go get another couple of boxes of cds! A lot of people even said they didn't really like them but now that they saw them live they are in! We also got to hang out and chit chat with the whole crew for awhile after the meet and greet which was great fun. Definitely a memorable night!
