Entry #1:
The Lovehammers Show
Sweltering heat
Standing in line
Excitement, anticipation
This day has arrived
Artsy deco and dark
A bar at the rear
The stage so close
Pinch me - I'm here!
Waiting and warming up
No way I'm moving
Electric all senses ready
Drums begin booming
Marty present and vibrant
Music full and alive
I can feel my smile
All the way up from inside
Singing and feeling
The words we became
Together creating
A rock'n'roll dream
Beauty and joy
Freedom insane
Relighting a fire
All give and all take
Treasured memories
Of the Lovehammers show
Happy and grateful
Have you been? Then you know.
Entry #2:
One Special Man
It all started in the summer of 2005
as my TV came alive
With a musician named Marty Casey
Who was a big star in the making
He was such a thrill to see every week
that made my heart skip a few beats
With such deep blue eyes
and a boyish grin
I fell in love with rock music all over again
Even though he was not picked for the big show
He still had his band, The Lovehammers, in tow
They played all over the USA
Making so many new fans along the way
We love to watch the band get into their groove
and watch Marty's every move
He jumps, he slithers, he's mesmerizing
His piercing blue eyes are hypnotizing
Hearing that wonderful voice sing the songs
You can't help but to sing along
May you go far with your success
as you deserve nothing but the best
Entry #3:
I Think
When I think of you
I think of anything
Any place, any life
I can think of every summer
I've missed
Every beach I forgot to imprint my steps
I can think of energy
All the unplayed tunes in my mind
All the road trips
Not being aware
The screams
In empty places
Full of people
Holding their tears in
Conducting
I think
Entry #4:
The Change
I didn't know
He'd change my life
Turn everything
Backwards and
Upside down
Through
Thick And Thin
We've been together
Holding on to one another
Sharing our hopes and dreams
With one another
Never really knowing the other
And now I'm glad
To have seen this man
For all that he has done
And all the people he has brought me to
All I have to say
Is thank you
Entry #5:
untitled
Hands clapping
Feet stomping
Lovehammers come out
Fans scream
Cheer and Shout
Marty takes my hand
Leads me on stage
Singing trees
Just for me
I wake up
Sigh and Squee
Entry #6:
Free
Life it was lonely
Inside my room
Hiding from the world
Drowning in gloom
Fighting my demons
All on my own
Waiting for rescue
But no one had come
Days seemed like years
As I wasted away
Dying inside
Yet hoping someday
I'd find a reason
To carry on
Crying for freedom
But receiving none
You set me free
Made me remember
Who I dreamed I could be
I'm forever grateful
That fate let me see
A reason for living
I'm finally free
Before I knew you
Or heard your voice
I was locked in bondage
Didn't know I had a choice
It's all so clear now
You've helped me see
Removed my boundaries
You've set me free
Entry #7:
eternal friend
Since I was a little girl in the seventies
with hi-fi stereos and eight tracks and vinyl albums
and headphones that were bigger than my head
music has been in my blood, pulsing through my veins.
The beat of the drums matching the beat of my heart--
bending my knees to keep time.
My true friend that was my kindred soul--
no matter if the girls said I was not invited to their party
I knew my friend would always be there for me.
When the boys said I was too tall to dance
I drifted into my musical trance
and everything was right with the world.
When I didn't get the part in the play--
the day my granny passed away--
music was my comfort and my guide
It will never leave my side.
And when I am just a pile of bones
music will be inspiring and encouraging another little girl
to give it one more shot and hang in there one more day.
Entry #8:
angel
it's been said before that angels walk among us
I never belived that was true
until I met you
your light and inspiration has shone through
the darkness
helped people survive so many tragedies
given them strength to endure
and fight
all because of that light
that radiates from your soul
it is such a blessing
sent from above
that each of us who knows you
and sees that beacon
can feel the power of who you are
and gather courage
to overcome whatever life throws in our way
Entry #9:
Marty Casey.......
If I wished upon a star
I would wish for a Rockstar
With golden locks and eyes so blue
I would wish for him to be you
Thanks for reading and voting!
