Did you join the .org in December 2005? How did you find your way here?

I guess I get the honor of being the first one to post in the December 2005 group. I don't know how I found the board. I know I found it in September after the show was over when I wanted more info on what Marty was up to. (Might have been from the Rockstar board or from googling--can't remember.)
But I lurked for a few months. Finally I joined in December-- I think because I was looking to connect with people who were going to the Gibson and Viper Room shows. I couldn't convince any of my friends to go with me and I was determined to go. But I felt like a total geek for going to concerts by myself.
I posted to see if anyone wanted to do dinner at Citywalk before the concert. There I connected with Polar, Mrsbud and Chanvre and their friends/husbands for dinner and met Jodie for the first time when she stopped by before the concert. Since then I've never had to worry about being alone at a concert. This board connected with with people who enjoyed the music as much as I did.
It took me till June to post in the asylum. But now I'm hooked on checking in with everyone. It also makes the concerts so much fun--each time I go to a show I get to meet more cool people.
I love the band and their music and the wonderful community of people who they have brought together.
Before Lovehammers and this board:
I had never been to a concert by myself. Never traveled to see a concert. Had never gone to see the same band more than once in a year. (count so far this year 6 shows with HJ to come.) Never posted on a message board. Never downloaded music from itunes or yahoo music. Didn't know what a photobucket was.
I'm sure there are other firsts that I haven't thought of. But my life is richer and more fun now than before.
Thanks Cindy, Amy and all the mods who make this such a great place to hang out.
Thanks Marty, Bob, Billy and Dino for the music and the inspiration!

Hi Everyone! I am also a member of the Dec.2005 class. I think I found this site by doing a search for Marty. I was so excited to find it! I can't believe we have been here for almost a year, and how much has happened in that time! Lets shoot for another year. I know I'll be staying!

I am December 2005 too...I found the website when I Googled Marty's name. It was right around that time I bought MoMM and realized there was more to this guy than what I saw on RSINXS...I already loved Marty, but I fell in love with the band soon after. Anyway, now my entire family are Hammerheads (especially my littelest ones) and I am working on my friends. HOPEFULLY I will be at Hammerjam in Oct, although I dont have a ticket right now. I am still working on the funds to get there if you know what I mean...

I joined mc.org on Dec 9th @ 9:28 am. Must have had Marty on my mind early that day! I don't remember exactly how I found the board but I do remember hearing about his band "Lovehammers" and googling that first. Then I ordered MOMM and got it back with a really nice note from Dino. I thought WOW, nice guys. I obviously must have lurked for quite awhile. Tickets for the first show in Vancouver went on sale and I think I joined around that time. Here is my first message!
Hi Marty I am a new member as of today but I have been reading this site since September. Great site to hear the newest on what the Lovehammers are doing. I wish you the greatest success on the tour next year. I will be at the Vancouver show on the 18th. My twin sister lives in Vancouver and bought tickets to your concert for our birthday in January. If you need a tour guide let me know!! Lived in Vancouver for many years, beautiful city. I have just ordered my wristband from the site, can't wait to get it. I hope your new album comes out when you arrive in Vancouver so I can get it autographed. Best wishes for a wonderful Christmas!
I haven't been a very big poster and I should change that. I remember the night of the show in Vancouver and trying to get the pics downloaded to Cindy as fast as I could, so exciting! Most of my posts were always about the CD sales, reviews of the band, anything along that line. I was so sure the CD would become #1!! I can't thank Cindy and Amy enough for everything they do, their hard work has made this the official Marty Casey board and it is obvious why! I wish you the best of luck for the next year and I have a feeling it is going to be just as exciting!

I am also in the class of December 2005. I think I was googling Marty's name and came across this site. Awesome work that you guys have done. You are so appreciated. I get on this site nearly daily. I've been to 2 concerts. One with INXS and to the first one of this tour at Blueberry Hill, St. Louis. The second one was the best. The band was so nice to come out after the show and meet with everyone. Not to mention, the great pics we got. Looking forward to many more. Kris
