This update is just a tad bit early, because we all know that tomorrow is the big day we've been waiting for
But the other thread was a bit dated.
1. Contact Your Radio Stations & Request "Trees"
This is the really the most important thing you can be doing. The single will be officially out today or tomorrow (see here). Hopefully, you've already laid the groundwork at your station.
Plus, by tomorrow I think "Trees" will be available to download so if it's played on the radio and catches someone's interest they'll have immediate access to it!
If you would like help with your local station just reply to this thread with the relevant information.
Check here to save some time and see if your station's already listed.
2. AP Reader's Chart
AP = Alternative Press magazine
www.altpress.com/topcd/october.htm
"Every month in AP's "Wiretapping" section, the AP READERS CHART gives it up for the top 10 new(-ish) CDs you and fans like you are listening to. Just vote for your favorite current CD (be sure to include the artist's name as well as the album title); send us your best quickie review of it in the space below (a sentence or two is perfect); and be sure to check the magazine racks, 'cause who knows -- you could end up in the next issue of AP!"
This one's really easy. You do have to register.
When they say 1-2 sentences they mean it! Here's some examples of reviews chosen that were printed under the album's that made the chart:
"This is HIM at their best."
"Simply put this album rocks!"
"No two songs sounds the same, and I never get sick of it!"
3. VH1
Thanks to everyone I think we've definitely made enough noise to ensure that VH1 knows that Hammerheads won't be ignored! The group is still high on the album and artist's lists and there's literally hundreds of posts on the Top 20 messageboard.
Please read my post here if you want the facts on the Top 20 Countdown. Plus there's a snail mail address to send your requests to, too!
Also, for the easiest messageboard posting see spiritgateway's thread here
Clicking on the links will reduce your reply time to a post to less than a minute
BIG THANKS & Keep doing what you're doing
I'll update this section Wednesday. That's when the radio station's change their playlists for the week.
