'An affair to Remember'...It is my Mother's favorite movie. She showed me her video once and I loved it. Tragic...emotional....a love story. It is my fav now, too.

I watched the same movie with my mother Star.
I just remebered another one I used to love when I was a kid, it was called Sunshine.

It was about a woman with a young daughter who had cancer and the guy that loved her through it all...it was sad and tragic yet it always left me feeling good too.
Had Christina Raines and Cliff de Young in it with music by John Denver

I watch far too many "chick flicks" Love Sliding Doors, Love Actually (as you get 9 stories for the price of one ) Beauty & The Beast (disney version) and the love story in Rockstar.

Affair to Remember is probably my favorite! And I love the one based on it, Sleepless in Seattle.
I'm sure I'll come up with more!

OOOoohhh so many good ones. Gone With the Wind immediately leaps to mind, Romeo and Juliet (both Baz and Franco Zefferelli's versions), Casablanca, definitely An Affair to Remember...and even, though a bit unconventional, I could classify Little Shop of Horrors (musical) and The King and I as romances...I mean, Seymour keeps feeding the plant for the love of Audrey, but I think they should have retained the stage ending for the film too. Rumor has it there are prints of the film out there somewhere without the sanitized little Hollywood ending. The King and I is almost heartbreaking as the King dies toward the end. I also love Flower Drum Song.

You guys should get the book, it is really funny and you get more back story to the characters. It's neat. We haven't read the whole book yet, I read it to my girls as part of our story time.

I do love Love Actually and The Way We Were. And I think I mentioned elsewhere Bridget Jones's Diary. Also love A Star is Born with Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson (whether that is a Romantic movie or something else...I just love it.) Oh and The Notebook....boy that one is so romantic and a tear jerker too.
