Okay...here goes....
Libby was the flight attendant who's husband died and who gave .................... the sailboat, remember?
The guy in the hatch with ............... was the U.S. Army guy who taught Sayid how to torture people in Sayid's episode.
Clearly there is an issue of space/time. I bet that is the statute of liberty or something like that and this is 100 years in the future.....electromagnetic shield thing pulls things into the future... (remember in flashbacks it says Jack is looking at x-rays from 2007, yet the plane allegedly took off in 2004?
We still don't know why Libby was in the mental institution. Desmond may or may not be dead. Who knows with this show. I don't think they will kill John and Eko...too important.
I believe Walt and Michael are going back to their correct time in history? The others are from the future, perhaps? Next season will focus on Jack, Kate and Sawyer's trip "home with them"? Interesting that they say they are the good ones.
I have a few theories about what is going on here. I'm sure they are all wrong, however.
Something is going to be wrong with Charlie after the blast I have a feeling.
Be back in a bit.

Hey Amy, WTF was the red & black symbols when the countdown got to zero, just before Locke hit the 'enter' key, Is that important? Yes, somewhat important. It's part of something bigger, or rather a sign of something bigger.

I dont really watch this show.....but I hear...."the rumor mill" says that they are in Percatory "between heaven and hell".....thats why some of the people from the plane are missing.....they took the direct route to either heaven or hell....the people there are stuck in limbo...... dont know if its true but thats what they were discussing on the radio the other day

I missed this and didn't recognize her. But DUH, her name was Elizabeth. (should've caught that!)
OMG, you are so right! I didn't catch this either.
I don't remember the 2007/future x-rays, but have thought about the space/time theory. I also wondered about the Statue of Liberty....the foot was just too bizarre to be random.
I think so too. I've not liked how his storyline has gone this year and hope to see something better, more intense, and more interesting next season. Charlie is one of my favorites. Actually, my favorites aren't the lead actors. I used to like Sawyer, but he's just turned into a male Ana Lucia. <yawn> The angst and bitterness gets boring.
C'mon.....let's hear 'em!
I need to watch the episode again....I'm wondering why The Others had the hatch entrance guarded, but then there was nothing there when Sayid checked it out. BTW, where is he and what happened to him? He'll have been on some secret mission of rescue next season because Jack, Kate, Hurley, and Sawyer didn't come meet him when he did the black smoke.

I agree. I was not as happy with this season as last, although I enjoyed the first episode with the tailies and the Claire baby episode. I thought that no real answers were given this season. I like Charlie as well. And Mr. Eko. He is so interesting. I used to like Locke and Sawyer, now not so much.

OMG! You're right! I don't know what happened to Sayid. Maybe time travel issue has to do with why hatches appear to be furnished and inhabited in scenes with the others and vacant and empty in other scenes?
Not sure about the reference to the statute only having four toes. I'm sure one of the die hards will find out what statutes only have four toes.
Also, don't you think there had to have been another crash? If .................. caused the first incident, wouldn't another have occurred? It's a way to bring in new characters of course, unless that was all another red herring.
Also, some tie between Penny's dad and Dharma? Like maybe Des was supposed to go on sail around the world so he would be taken to the island and presumably away from his daughter who is in another time/place looking for him?
So many damn questions.

I thought the explanation Desmond gave for why the plane went down almost made sense. It was in the wrong place at the wrong time while this electromagnetic force happened? Then what about the connection between the passengers and the numbers? Hurley's lotto numbers, the serial numbers on the plane, (I'm pretty sure there were more).
Also, what's the deal with Libby's multiple appearances? She was in Hurley's mental hospital, she was a flight attendant who gave Desmond the boat, she was a passenger on the plane (or was she a flight attendant?).
This is weird, too, but when Desmond was ready to run and Penny showed up, the random guy in the background who showed up to run looked like Jack to me. Remember scenes where Jack was running on the stairs? Was he in England then? Who was the person he was talking to in those scenes? I seem to remember it was someone he recognized later on the island.
Sayid was on the boat with Jin and Sun when the "event" happened. Maybe they'll use the boat to go for help? Maybe they'll find out from Hurley about Michael and go after him. Especially when they find out about him being the one who killed the girls.
The ending was especially interesting. I thought the two guys were a commercial at first. How the hell did a magentic event (or whatever they called it) tell Penny where Desmond was?
The most bizarre thing is this. They've played the Hanso Foundation "commercials" in the last three episodes. Last night on Jimmy Kimmel he interviewed the "real" Hanso Foundation spokesperson. The guy claimed that all the stuff on the show was fiction and that the writers had used Hanso but it didn't really have a connection to their company. It was VERY believable. Jimmy asked why they were running their "commercials" and the guy said that they took advantage of the show to get their message out.
All I can say is BIZARRE!!!!!!!!
Entertainment Weeklyy had a huge Lost issue (May 19). They've been a big Lost source. I think I posted a couple of weeks ago a link to their site that shows the "map" that Locke saw when the door came down.

I've read that the writers have made sure the numbers are in every episode, somehow, some way. The numbers were also printed on the hatch door in Season 1 (remember Hurley telling them at the last minute to not blast open the doors?). Does anyone remember who the guy in the mental institution was that kept muttering the numbers over & over to Hurley? I know it wasn't, um, Evan Handler (what was his name on the show?).
You're remember correctly. Jack was blowing off some steam from the hospital and decided to go for an exercise run. This is where he and Desmond met. The scene shown last night was just a moment in time before that previous flashback.
I didn't realize she was also a flight attendant. I'm vowing to watch last night's episode several times! There are so many things that could be "something" or just be insignificant. I find it odd that Libby knew Hurley from the mental hospital, but the writers never told us why. It makes me wonder if somehow there is a Libby/Penny connection. Or is Libby some sort of spirit that connects all these lost souls together?
Yes, it was odd! I didn't realize either it was part of the show. I guess we'll find out answers next season....or the next.....or the series finale. lol
I've missed this....what is Hanso?

I've missed this....what is Hanso? The Hanso Foundation is the company that is behind the Dharma Initiative. They ran those fake commercials in each episode. They had a website listed on each. One was "letyourcompassguideyou.com" and another was "sublymonal.com" and "hansocareers.com" I had heard that there were going to be clues in the commercials, so I figured out what that meant when I saw the first one! That's what happens when you TIVO, you miss that stuff. I guess if I had TIVO I would, too. LOL You can go to "lostpedia.com" for info on this and much more. (I found this through Google search for Hanso. It looks like the company has a legit site but it's all part of the "Lost Experience") I haven't had time to explore the myriad of all stuff Lost. If you go to lostpedia.com you can get it all. It's mindblowing. They've really put alot into this show. I've never seen anything like this before. ETA: more info

Okay, here's something I learned: I was sort of mys-typing Dharma Initiative. It should be DHARMA Initiative, because it's an acronym.....for what, only the writers know at this point! But, alas, something new for me. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dharma_InitiativeHelen - Don't click on this...it has spoiler information! But some of it won't make sense to you until you've seen some of the episodes.

I believe Walt and Michael are going back to their correct time in history? This made me think about Walt and the casting of the show. They've been on the island about 60 days, right? Well, "Walt" has aged 2 years. He can't be on the show much longer....he's going to hit a growth spurt soon. Somehow, some way he (maybe along with Michael) will leave the island. Okay, I gotta quit thinking about this....it's making me crazy and I need to go to bed. LOL

I agree Amy. Walt looked at least 15 in the last episode. He is definitely aging quickly.
People are talking about the foot looking like a famous statute. I will find the link and post it here for anyone interested.
As I noted their are to Hanso websites, thehansofoundation.org and hansocareers.org.

Helen - have you seen another episode yet?
BTW, in addition to being a Marty crack dealer, I'm a "Lost" crack dealer. I loaned a friend my Lost DVD set and now she & her hubby are watching it nearly nonstop. lol Little do they know the fun the second season holds!
