well, it does get more interesting as the contestants get weeded out. I have never been a big Bon Jovi fan but even I was grateful to hear something with a beat for a change. Thought Blake was brilliant, Lakisha too. I know everyone is high on Melinda and I don't dispute that she is the best singer- but I just don't think anyone will buy her records. To me, there is no "it" factor.
Best thing about that ott Idol Gives Back episode was seeing BONO.
BONO!!!!!! omg, Bono was on Idol. That was too much. Had to laugh that President Bush thanked Bono for being on the show. hahaha that cracks me up. Now I see millions are wearing the One bracelet and I don't feel unique anymore --but for once that's cool.

Gosh all I know is I hope Blake doesn't win. He seems limited to one kind of style and not
to diverse. Melinda is still a fav here, Jordin is a good singer too. Yikes it is really sad to see the good ones go.
Whoa!! Did you see the add for the new show called "The Band"?? I wonder if the LH's could try out since Epic isn't promoting LH's maybe Simon could make them a household name?? One can only hope to see them get the credit they deserve.

Yes, sad to see Lakisha go. It will be really hard next week.
I missed that add about the new show called "The Band". Sounds like it could be an interesting show. I remember watching "Making the Band" back in 2000. But that was bringing guys together to form a band and this new show must be a band that is already together. That would be interesting to see the Lovehammers on the show if they were able to go on it. Though they may not be interested in doing a reality show.

blech blech blech blech blech blech blech blech Am I being too harsh?  Nope. Every season my daughter warns me not to get "Idol lines" which are the wrinkles I get from wincing during the show. This year I am not even wincing 'cause everyone is so middle of the road. I agree that Melinda and Lakisha can sing rings around everyone else, but I don't see myself or much of the public buying any recording they make. And, please, somebody, explain to me why Melinda has a stylist and hairdresser who make her look 40-something? She is young -- but you can't tell! ack. I agree with you about Melinda, chk. She seems to have no certain age but definitely of a certain era.................very strange, I find her very strange. I've watched Idol every year and I think this one is the worst  yet! I'm not a big fan of the show, just sort of flip back and forth while watching other programs.  Speaking of (I forgot to check and see if there is a thread for this  ) other shows my very favorite is Dancing with the Stars......................there are some HOT dancers this year and I just love Bruno, the judge, he cracks me up!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D      and one of these  |

OMG...What a shocker last night was. I was sure that Melinda and Jordan were going to be the final two. I happen to like Blake...he is not afraid to play with a song. I don't always like how the song turns out but he puts his own spin on it. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for everyone who was on the show. Winning doesn't always equal success.

I hate that Melinda got the boot, but I know Simon will see she has a recording contract since she was one of his faves. I think it's totally wrong that Blake is in the final two - and I'm not that big a Jordin fan...so I won't be watching the finale. Finales for me this week will be DWTS and LOST.

Melinda gone? You can thank the Producers for that! The song selection which we hear about TO DEATH being KEY to good voting results. What do they have her sing? An obscure Tina Turner song!!!! WTF??? I blame the show for that nightmare, she was set up. I saw Kelly Clarkson on tv saying that she thinks "Jordin should win" at this point. She can sing anything(except bon Jovi) and Blake is just too limited to a certain style. Theres a market for him, just not going to be as diverse. And that is my little ol opinion  Iam sick of this show and wont watch anymore unless Marty is on or someone as great!! Jilly |

Blake's my boy. I voted and voted and voted for him this week. I actually screamed when Melinda got kicked off. And screamed and screamed and screamed.... Drummergrl.....I also Like Blake I think he is different then the other singers...and has a good personality.... Melinda for me just doesn't do it......yes she can sing but week after week im tired of her "who me attitude" she didnt give off the impression that she her self thought she was good.....to much of that surprised look on her face did her in..... I really got tired of seeing her week after week.......I wont even say who she reminds me of ;D ;D ;D ;D ;Dit probably sound to mean ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D |

I didn't even watch, I don't like any of the remaining enough to care. It seems that theres no "Marty's" out there to make me say WOW like I did with him on Rockstar. No one since then at all really. But let me just say RIGHT ON APOLO!!! The best dancer won!!! whenever I have a new guy on TV, movies or music that I like, or my buddy likes, My girlfriend in Fl and I joke with "oh I wanna have his baby" I want to have Apolo's baby. ;D ;D ;D and some other cuties out there in my peripheral vision............ |

now dont get me wrong I do think Jordan has a good voice.....but in my opinion that song that they had written for the winner was sooo not fair to Blake...that song was not his style and hard for him to perform it....that song was written for Jordan to be the winner  |
