Something about Ashley reminds me of Matty....  I love thier passion and agree w/chi loved to see them live its so hard to judge them based on singing others songs, i much prefer original music |

Sorry I didn't post about this show last week. Life got in the way. So let's just move on to this week, shall we!
Light of Doom FINALLY goes home! But I think this had to be a major boost to them to have made it this far in the show.
The final three were Sixwire, Denver and the Mile High Orchestra, and the Clark Brothers. They all did three songs.
Sixwire has been consistently good for me, and on this show two of the songs they did I really liked - "Reeling In The Years" (judges' pick for them to cover) and "Good To Be Back (their pick, one of their own original songs). Fabulous, fabulous work on both songs. Got a vote from me, for sure!
I think Sixwire will win this thing. The Clark Brothers are really good, and have a fresh edge in the way they approach their music, but they're just still a little toooo ... inconsistent? I'm not sure of the word I want, but I find with them I either really really LOVE what they do or I just go "meh."
Denver and the Mile High Orchestra? I would be STUNNED if they made the NGAB title. They are, I think, a really good "live" band -- the horns are great and they are fun to watch -- but I can't see me buying any of their albums.
Well, that's it for another week. Tho in the meantime I'm going to be looking forward to seeing the Clark Brothers version of "Amazed" by Lone Star up on You Tube!

I think the last two bands standing deserve to be there and either one deserved to win. I just hope that hollywood doesn't suck them in and they stay true to who they are!

I was glad the Clark Brothers won. I so enjoyed them, whether I like their style of music or not; they are just so good at what they do. And that rendition of Gimme Shelter back a few weeks ago just has stayed with me. It was great to see someone so worthy win.  |

Wow, I REALLY got behind posting anything here! As far as the finale show itself went, eh. Though I loved seeing Sheila E. and her band play! Very cool. I would have been happy with either Sixwire or The Clark Brothers winning, so I was happy. yey!!
I loved this show, until I started working Friday nights:(
So I loved Light of Doom, Clark Bros', and Tres' Bien.
But glad to here Clark Bro's won.!
Still dont think america was ready for those hard rockin' Skid row lookalike kids. They are amazing though you cant deny it! lol

I watched the Clark Brothers on AI tonight. Awesome!!! I watched part of the America's Greatest Band show but then lost track of it. I am not a real avid tv watcher.
