I have seen Simon on a few shows now saying he thinks Cookie should win so why is he trashing him tonight and praising Archie? It's so bias and rigged !
Well let Archie win he can be in the hall of fame with Ruben Studdard and Fantasia and Jordin Sparks and Cookie can run with Daughtry, Clay Aiken, Kelly Pickler...hey I am totally biased haha but this is America right??

In fact theres room for them in our Great Country !!

Here's my take on last nights show. "Archie" looked like a kid in a singing competition, and "Cookie" looked like a famous Rock Star. Doesn't matter who is crowned the "American Idol" i believe that Cookie will sell way more records and be a bigger star than Archie. In another year or two, Archie will be another Taylor Hicks......WHO?  |

I was thinking the same thing a you Jill and F4L. But I think Simon was just being honest with his thoughts last night. David A. is one dimensional kid with a great voice. If it were a pure singing competition he did win it hands down. But David C. is will become a super Rock Idol like Daughtery. He has the whole package.
You could see and feel David C. just soaking in the moment last night and after the last song it was so emotional. The finals reminded me a little of the finals with marty and JD. JD was performing like he was in a competition and Marty was performing like a super star. I will buy as many cds as Cook puts out. Would not buy one of Arch's. I would like to see the real star win for a change. See the voters get it right for once. But in the end it does not matter. Daughtery didnt even make it to the final two.

Even if Cook doesn't win Idol, he's a winner already in the sense that he could easily end up like Daughtry...becoming just as or more successful even though he didn't win. He just has that kind of voice and presence. Sometimes when he sings his voice takes on this tone that I just love and could listen to for hours on end. Even though Cook's been my favorite throughout, I would still be happy for Archuleta if he won. He's very young and has great potential. He has such a sweet and humble presence. Nothing arrogant and obnoxious about him (well, so far..lol). At any rate, this was definitely an entertaining season, and both Davids are winners in my book!
I know Castro was overrated this season, but I liked him as a "coffeehouse" artist. Hoping he does acoustic shows at some point down the road.

my only fear for Archuleta if he wins, is that egotistical jerk of a father he has. I have a feeling he will be even more controlling over his son that the poor kid won't enjoy what he loves to do. I guess we will have to wait and see.
There are actually a few this season who i am looking forward to hearing more of. I really dug Michael Johns and Brooke White.

eithier way, whoever wins, their both gonna be supertstars! did u see how many ppl voted for the final like 90 million thats incrediable!!!. I would buh david C. record, not Archuletas. Go david C.!!!

YES!!! I'm so excited that David Cook won. AND,he won by 12 million votes they said. That is awesome. He is so deserving of it!!

FANTASTIC   I really don't like American Idol, or Australian Idol for that matter ;D ;D ;D but I think David Cook is awesome and I would definitley buy his CD. |

What an AWESOME show it was  I loved it and had my own party here rocking along, really wanted to see LOTS MORE of MICHAEL JOHNS tho. Was rapt Cookie won, he was fabbo with ZZ Top  Will definitely be out buying his CD when it hits the shops.  Still think MICHAEL JOHNS shoulda won tho  Go the AUSSIE  Hopefully he gets a recording contract, he has been doing commercials here for Aussie TV already. Roll on AI 2009 in January when it starts all over again.  I'm off to bed, nite all, Helen  |

i so jumped up and started screaming yes! and high fived my mom..... i hate david A. he just cant sing very well. the only songs he can sing are ballads. he cant do a fast tempo song at all
