I was going to post my take on who was going home yesterday but the boards were down.....posting it now, even though it has already happened LOL

Ratings:

Carly 9.5 Amazing voice, just wait for it, and she wasn't even trying that hard. Wait till her genre comes up - she is gonna kill it. Needs to sing: Fighter by Christina Aguilera or Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen.

Ramiele 9.5 Amazing control. Dynamics, she didn't force it or scream it in order to have power, it was just there. Cute as can be, too. Needs to sing: Somewhere Over The Rainbow, Vision of Love by Mariah Carey.

Michael 9.5 The best guy. Seriously. Style, professionalism, hell of a voice. And...I love The Doors. Needs to sing: What If by Creed, Evenflow by Pearl Jam.

Amanda 9.25 Thank goodness! No more posing rock stars that dyed thier bangs prior to the auditions!! You know what...she reminds me of Ann Wilson - that voice. Effortless power, grace, and charisma. Needs to sing: Barracuda by Heart, People Are Strange by the Doors.

David A 9.25 HOW OLD IS HE?? You have to be kidding me! He is amazing. This kid has one of the best natural voices in the competition. He needs to work on a little more confidence, but he is young. It is probably really intimidating. But a couple years from now....he is going to be killing it. He is also a cutie - get him a style coach and he will go from cutie pie to hot. Needs to sing: Fortunate Son, Higher Ground by Red Hot Chili Peppers (he could do it well...)

David C 9 Happy Together was really, really, really good. Seriously. Please, David, continue with making the songs your own. One of these weeks, you are going to arrange something and it will end up on the radio....very nice. Great stage presence, too. Needs to sing: Always by Bon Jovi, Cryin by Aerosmith

Kady 8.25 Ok - Really, really good voice, but you don't have to do impressions. Figure out who you are, because your voice is one of the best....be comfortable. Kady does have a lot of power - good pitch, she will do well. Needs to sing: Baby One More Time (acoustic, not in Britney voice, in Kady voice), Immortal by Evanescence.

Syesha 8 Really good voice. Will definitely make top 12, but won't win. Needs to sing: Cult of Personality, Criminal by Fiona Apple.

Colton 8 Potential, very good voice, but cut the Grease Lightning stuff. He needs to quit with the theatre, although I know that is his background. Has a good voice, so he needs to use it or lose it....and by lose it I mean the competition...Needs to sing: Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me. Needs to go home third week.

Asia'h 7.75 Good voice, really cute....needs to make herself known more or she risks falling into "what song did she sing again?" land...Needs to sing: undecided. Needs to go home third week.

Alexandria 7.5 Really good - GREAT stage presence....watch pronunciation - kind of tripped over herself a little vocally, but great potential. Top 6 material for sure, but won't win. Needs to sing: Heartbreaker by Pat Benetar

Robbie 7.5 Liked him....He is kind of in the same place as Jason C. right now, may end up being known as the long hair guy that almost made it...Needs to sing: undecided

Jason C 7.5 Please do No Rain by Blind Melon! Please?? And...show them that you can do more than Blind Melon and Counting Crowes...which I am guessing is your comfort zone. Needs to sing: No Rain by Blind Melon or Colorblind by Counting Crows.

Danny 7.25 Ok - this kid is adorable and has attitude. Ok, the vocals were not perfect, but he has potential. You can just see the entertainer waiting to come out. Next week, though, I hope he focuses more on vocal quality, but also keep the personality. But there is just something about him that grabs people's attention. Needs to sing: Ballroom Blitz

Kristy 6 Good voice, really pretty, but can't hold up to Amanda and Carly. Or maybe she can, and she really needs to show it. Needs to sing: undecided. Needs to go home third week.

Brooke 5.75 Good voice, cute, needs to find some originality or she falls into "what did she sing again?" land. Needs to sing: undecided. Needs to go home second week.

Alaina 5 Same as Brooke....good voice, but needs to make herself known.
Needs to sing: undecided. Needs to go home second week.

David H 5 Awesome beginning of song. Lost it in the middle. Needs confidence, style, and an edge. Possibly one of the best natural voices in the year, but needs major work. Needs to sing: anything by Jon Secada. Needs to go home third week.

Joanne 4.5 Good voice, but forgettable. Potential...hope she doesn't waste it because she really is good. Needs to sing: nothing, needs to GO HOME this week

Luke 4.5 Awwww seems so nice. Has a pretty voice, but needs to bring a performance that will make him a contender, because right now he is not.
Needs to go home second week. Needs to sing: Wicked Game.

Jason Y 4 Same thing as Luke. Needs to go home second week. Needs to sing: undecided.

Amy 3 I want to like her, but pitch was awful. Come on Amy, you can do it! Needs to GO HOME this week. Needs to sing: absolutely nothing.

Chikezie 3 Didn't like his attitude or performance. Pretty rude. Dont' be so defensive....and sing well. Needs to GO HOME this week. Needs to sing: nothing

Garrett 3 I feel really bad not liking him, but he just isn't good enough. He has a nice voice, but nice doesn't cut it...Needs to GO HOME this week. Needs to sing: ugh..nothing.

None of them are doing anything for me at this point. I like Amanda but her Kansas performance was ruined by her "look". Geez they have a stylist who help them, was hers on vacay? Poor girl. At this point I don't see myself buying any of their CD's if they had one. There was alot of Hype over David Archuleta, he sang Imagine. That song is a manipulation and it tugs on everyones heart strings, its nostalgic and makes everyone oooh and Ahh. But I kept thinking "geez how old is he like 15?" he needs more life experience like all the other teeny boppers from the past. But this is just my opinion.

You know here in Australia this season we are getting American Idol approx. 8-9 hours after you guys. So for the first time we are very up to date with the show.

We can't vote, but at least we here in Oz, know exactly who you are talking about and what song they sang as we are getting it on cable just after you guys.

I think Michael Johns is yummy, who cares what Simon says, he sang with alot of
passion and he has really good stage presence too! an old pro at it. I hope he sticks around

I am ready to see Kristy Lee go and Ramiele, they just don't have the 'it' factor to me.
I like Carly and Amanda too, they have some real talent to me. And I like Michael and Jason still but they better get some more standout performances or they may go home..yikes!

Yeah I was not a happy camper. I almost projectile vomited when Kristy sang 8 Days a Week , Souther fried Cracker Barrel style! I am a Beatle lover and my patience was being tested..Ugh! I did love Eleanor Rigby that was a cool version David Cook did but Kristy getting to stay after 8 Days a Week butchering and then

Sayesha ..sorry I forget her last name. But Jason didn't to too hot tonight and he needs to go,since he isn't delivering the goods in the same way the other 3 are.

I suspect it will be the two Davids for the final two? I am pulling and voting for Mr Cook. He has paid his dues, David A has a few years yet ahead to fine tune his music.

I've only been watching the show off and on, so I don't have the David Cook love going that some do. But last night, the comments by Randy, Paula, and Simon were basically telling Sayesha that she's going to be gone after tonight.

Frankly, I'm surprised she hadn't gone before now, but she CAN deliver a good performance (for ex. the Alicia Keys song Randy picked for her last night). Unfortunately she doesn't always deliver a good performance (evidenced by her OTHER two songs last night).

But neither Davids did anything for me last night either. I'm guessing it'll be David Cook who comes out the winner of this thing. When's the finale then? Next week?

yeah i would have to agree that david cook will be the won to win. David A. butchered the chris brown song and i anlready didntl ike the song and he just made my unliking of the song worse.

We (me and hubby) were all for Carly or Michael Johns at first but when David Cook got our attention is when he sang Eleanor Rigby on Beatles week. It was awesome how he made it his own. Plus he almost never sing songs as they are , he is good most of the time with arrangements that showcase his talents. Yes he did sing some rocked out versions that had been done by others but He never claimed they were his, I think David Archuleta is a good singer but he is so young and doesn't have the life experience probably to sing some deep love songs with the passion you would have having been in love and so on. He just needs a little more life experience to me. But that is just my opinion.
Key if you go to youtube and check out David Cook singing Eleanor Rigby and when he sang Billie Jean, both good performances .

I have to respong to this one lol.
Im not a huge idol fan just becasue of the tunes they tend to sing.... pop music, i think they should have a Hardcore week where everyone can sing Zombie and Radiohead!

Althought they did try that last season with 'Queen' week, im sorry Freddie! Im more of a Rockstar Girl... bring on the guitar players. ( Cause i cant stand it when David Cook stabds up there and play a acoustic guitar that isnt plugged in, Nobody can hear it unless is plugged in David. And even then he has a huge orcastra behind him??)

I like Jason in The beginning, (when he sang Halleluhia) I love the folkish singers that you can picture with a acoustic guitar and they sound amazing. Just like Marty, lol.

But i was glad to see him go, he was losing interest we could all tell. Syesia (cant spell) tryed to play the sexy card, and i wasnt buying it. Cant a girl sing without strateling a chair while performing?

David Cook, the 'Rocker' of the group, i sortof wonder if he's trying to pull a Chris Duahtry? I agrre he can sing, but it was gard for me to listen to him sing 'Dare you to move' last week, just becasue im a diehard Switchfoot fan, and know how much their music changed Christian Rock forever. I think David C. has a good shot thought (love Music of the night, my favorite performance by him!)

Ah, David A. he's wayyyyy to happy all the time. Something has to b goin on internally with this poor child..(17) I would like to see him flip out and start swearing or something. No dought he can sing..... pop music though, i dont see him singing much else. My brother and i joke about how he exceeds all the other idols by:

He just surpasses them all if you can hear him singing over the teen girls yeling "David We love you!". I say he takes the win (David A.) Even though i would love David C. to take it just to give America a taste of 'rock'.

David Cook should win..... but since this show isn't based on actual singing abilities then David A. will probably win. I used to love Idol but its more of a popularity contest than a singing competition and i lost all respect for this show when Michael Johns was voted off WAY TOO SOON!! It should have been him and David Cook at the end. Ah, i guess it doesn't matter, we should all know by now the runners up do alot better than the actual winners in these shows anyway!!

Hey I am going to vote like a crazy woman for David Cookie (GP's nickname for him).I don't know that it will do any good but I will try. I think Cookie has paid his dues more than Archie
and that is reason enough to me. I remember voting like an insane woman a few years ago for this cute blonde rocker dude to the point I thought I was going to get a migraine or a brain damage of some sort with those freaking captchas !!! Hubby and I each did like 200 each week for Mr Casey...and Ugh! I don't even want to think about it, so David it's all about you , I don't care if you sing the Flinstones theme tonight I am going to vote for you.
