It's too hard to pick ONE, Ceeje! I'll start off with one of mine that many may not remember - it's from the hair band era...to be specific - *gulp* - it's by Europe. "Tomorrow" (by Joey Tempest) Will you be there beside me If the world falls apart And will all of our moments Remain in your heart Will you be there to guide me All the way through, I wonder will you
Walk by my side, and follow my dreams And bear with my pride, as strong as it seems Will you be there tomorrow
Will you be there beside me As time goes on by And be there to hold me Whenever I cry Will you be there to guide me All the way through, I wonder will you
Walk by my side, and follow my dreams...Another personal favorite is a song by Joshua Kadison: "Beautiful in My Eyes" You're my peace of mind in this crazy world. You're everything I've tried to find, your love is a pearl. You're my Mona Lisa, you're my rainbow skies, and my only prayer is that you realize you'll always be beautiful in my eyes.
The world will turn and the seasons will change, and all the lessons we will learn, will be beautiful and strange. We'll have our fill of tears, our share of sighs. My only prayer is that you realize you'll always be beautiful in my eyes.
You will always be beautiful in my eyes. And the passing years will show that you will always grow more beautiful in my eyes.
When there are lines upon my face from a lifetime of smiles, and when the time comes to embrace for one long last while, we can laugh about how time really flies. We won't say goodbye 'cause true love never dies. You'll always be beautiful in my eyes.
You will always be beautiful in my eyes. And the passing years will show that you will always grow more beautiful in my eyes. The passing years will show that you will always grow ever more beautiful in my eyes.
A bit sad and sappy, maybe, but that's me...There's many more, but those are the first two that popped into my head. I'll let some others share and then I'll revisit the thread...maybe we can create one mean romantic mix after this. Peace.

I am not really into love songs but Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol is a great song
We'll do it all Everything On our own
We don't need Anything Or anyone
If I lay here If I just lay here Would you lie with me and just forget the world?
I don't quite know How to say How I feel
Those three words Are said too much They're not enough
If I lay here If I just lay here Would you lie with me and just forget the world?
Forget what we're told Before we get too old Show me a garden that's bursting into life
Let's waste time Chasing cars Around our heads
I need your grace To remind me To find my own
If I lay here If I just lay here Would you lie with me and just forget the world?
Forget what we're told Before we get too old Show me a garden that's bursting into life
All that I am All that I ever was Is here in your perfect eyes, they're all I can see
I don't know where Confused about how as well Just know that these things will never change for us at all
If I lay here If I just lay here Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Song: HEAVEN LYRICS
Performed by: Bryan Adams Oh - thinkin' about all our younger years There was only you and me We were young and wild and free
Now nothin' can take you away from me We bin down that road before But that's over now You keep me comin' back for more
Baby you're all that I want When you're lyin' here in my arms I'm findin' it hard to believe We're in heaven And love is all that I need And I found it there in your heart It isn't too hard to see We're in heaven
Oh - once in your life you find someone Who will turn your world around Bring you up when you're feelin' down
Ya - nothin' could change what you mean to me Oh there's lots that I could say But just hold me now Cause our love will light the way
N' baby you're all that I want When you're lyin' here in my arms I'm findin' it hard to believe We're in heaven And love is all that I need And I found it there in your heart It isn't too hard to see We're in heaven
I've bin waitin' for so long For something to arrive For love to come along
Now our dreams are comin' true Through the good times and the bad Ya - I'll be standin' there by you

The one that can still give me chills is Nights in White Satin by The Moody Blues. I just love Justin Hayward's voice! I'll have to look up the lyrics for that one.

This is currently my favorite love song by Blue October
18th Floor Balcony
i close my eyes and i smile knowing that everything is alright to the core so close that door is this happening? my breathe is on your hair... i’m unaware that you opened the blinds and let the city in god, you held my hand while we stand... just taking in everything i knew it from the start so my arms are open wide your head is on my stomach and we're trying so hard not to fall asleep so here we are on this 18th floor balcony we're both flying away we talked about moms and dads our family pasts just getting to know where we came from our hearts were on display for all to see i can't believe this is happening to me i raise my hand as if to show you that i was yours that i was so yours for the taking i’m so yours for the taking and that’s when i felt the wind pick up i grabbed the rail while choking up these words to say and then you kissed me i knew it from the start so my arms are open wide your head is on my stomach and we're trying so hard not to fall asleep here we are on this 18th floor balcony we're both flying away i'll try to sleep to keep you in my dreams till i can bring you home with me i'll try to sleep and when i do i'll keep you in my dreams written by: justin furstenfeld / c.b. hudson produced and recorded by: patrick leonard

Hmmm...Toughie...I think that my top three favourite love songs are the following (using "/"s to denote different lines and "//"s to denote different verses...why? To save space.):
"Cactus" by The Pixies. "Sitting here/Wishing on a cement floor/Just wishing that/I had just something you wore/I put it on when I go lonely/Will you take off your dress/And send it to me?//I miss your kissin'/And i miss your head/And a letter in your writing/Doesn't mean you're not dead//Just run outside in the desert heat/Make your dress all wet/And send it to me/I miss your soup and I miss your bread/And a letter in your writing/Doesn't mean you're not dead/So spill your breakfast/And drip your wine/Just wear that dress when you dine//So, sitting here wishing/On a cement floor/Just wishing that I had just something you wore/Bloody your hands on a cactus tree/Wipe'em on your dress/And send it to me/Sitting here wishing on a cement floor/Just wishing that I had just something you wore."
"Days" by David Bowie "Hold me tight/Keep me cool/Going mad/Don't know what to do/Do I need a friend?/Well, I need one now//All the days of my life/All the days of my life/All the days I owe you//All I've done/I've done for me/All you gave/You gave for free/I gave nothing in return/And there's little left of me//All the days of my life/All the days of my life/All the days I owe you//In red-eyed pain I'm knocking on your door again/My crazy brain in tangles/Pleading for your gentle voice/Those storms keep pounding through my head and heart/I pray you'll soothe my sorry soul//All the days of my life/All the days of my life/All the days I owe you/All the days of my life/All the days of my life/All the days I owe you//All the days of my life/All the days of my life/All the days I owe you."
"Death Valley Queen" by Flogging Molly. "Death valley queen where have you been/Since they crowned you in glory/Filled your head with dreams/But it still goes to show in every desert/There's a rose that's blooming for all to be seen/I remember you well from that town/You did dwell with the face of an angel/In a dump hot as hell/When I asked for a kiss/You kindly dismissed/So I lead my poor heart to the slaughter//Tell me dear what did you fear/I'd do you no wrong though no stranger to sin/So death valley queen go marry your king/Or an old maid you'll end up for certain//Off I did set on my trail of regret/Where I thought of you now in your castle and crown/So I found me a whore with a face just like yours/After several gallons of porter/When I awoke, she had scarpered I was broke/Laying cold in the bed with a whale for a head/So death valley queen go marry your king/Or an old maid you'll end up for certain//Then the ball dropped why everything fell by the way/As your teardrops were falling I forgot to say/That I have always loved you/Yeah I have always loved you/Yeah I/Yeah I/I have always loved you//When I returned downtrodden and burned/There were billy goats grazing/Where once you'd be found/So I hung out to dry/On this limb for a lie/Take me back for I'm cursed on the mainland//Tell me dear what did you fear/I'd do you no wrong though no stranger to sin/So death valley queen go marry your king/Or an old maid you'll end up for certain/I said death valley queen go marry your king/And a-roving I'll end up for certain."

Melissa Etheridge's "Come to My Window."
Come To My Window
[CHORUS]
Come to my window Crawl inside, wait by the light of the moon Come to my window I'll be home soon
I would dial the numbers Just to listen to your breath I would stand inside my hell And hold the hand of death You don't know how far I'd go To ease this precious ache You don't know how much I'd give Or how much I can take
Just to reach you Just to reach you Just to reach you
[CHORUS]
Keeping my eyes open I cannot afford to sleep Giving away promises I know that I can't keep Nothing fills the blackness That has seeped into my chest I need you in my blood I am forsaking all the rest Just to reach you Just to reach you Oh to reach you
[CHORUS]
I don't care what they think I don't care what they say What do they know about this love anyway
[CHORUS]
Or, for something a little darker, Nirvana's "Heart Shaped Box," which Cobain wrote about Love, as the first gift she ever gave him was a heart shaped box filled with dolls' heads and sprayed with her perfume.

She's Got a Way - Billy Joel
Brings tears to my eyes EVERY time I hear it.
She's got a way about her I don't know what it is But I know that I can't live without her
She's got a way of pleasin' I don't know what it is But there doesn't have to be a reason Anyway
She's got a smile that heals me I don't know why it is But I have to laugh when she reveals me
She's got a way of talkin' I don't know what it is But it lifts me up when we are walkin' Anywhere
She comes to me when I'm feelin' down Inspires me without a sound She touches me and I get turned around
She's got a way of showin' How I make her feel And I find the strength to keep on goin'
She's got a light around her And everywhere she goes A million dreams of love surround her Everywhere
She comes to me when I'm feelin' down Inspires me without a sound She touches me and I get turned around
She's got a smile that heals me I don't know why it is But I have to laugh when she reveals me
She's got a way about her I don't know what it is But I know that I can't live without her Anyway

Another one I like is "I Would Be Your Slave" by David Bowie.
"Walking in the snowy stream Let me understand Drifting down a silent path Stumbling over land Open up your heart to me Show me who you are And I would be your slave
Do you sleep in quietude? Do you walk in peace? Do you laugh out loud at me? No one else is free Open up your heart to me Show me all you are And I would be your slave
I don't sit and wait I don't give a damn I don't see the point at all No footsteps in the sand
I bet you laugh out loud at me A chance to strike me down Give me peace of mind at last Show me all you are Open up your heart to me I will be your slave
I don't sit around and wait I don't give a damn I don't see the point at all No footsteps in the sand
I will give you all my love Nothing else is free Open up your heart to me I would be your slave."

klees! I love Maybe I'm Amazed too... If the lyrics seem simple to you... I assure you the emotions are not. Maybe I'm Amazed Baby I’m amazed at the way you love me all the time Maybe I’m afraid of the way I love you Baby I’m amazed at the the way you pulled me out of time Hung me on a line Maybe I’m amazed at the way I really need you Baby I’m a man and maybe I’m a lonely man Who’s in the middle of something That he doesn’t really understand Babe I’m a man and maybe you’re the only woman Who could ever help me Baby won’t you help to me understand Baby I’m a man and maybe I’m a lonely man Who’s in the middle of something That he doesn’t really understand Babe I’m a man and maybe you’re the only woman Who could ever help me Baby won’t you help me understand Baby I’m amazed at the way you’re with me all the time Maybe I’m afraid of the way I leave you Baby I’m amazed at the way you help me sing my song You right me when I’m wrong Maybe I’m amazed at the way I really need you
