From the flood of responses to my post, I guess I stand alone with my opinion of the band. Anyway, an interesting thing that I read about the band was that they wrote most of the material for their last album at the "Paramour mansion"--where the Rockstar contestants stay during the competition. Hence the album title "The Paramour Sessions". I didn't know this until I read the blog, but the mansion is suposed to be haunted. The singer of the band said they heard alot of strange sounds while they were staying there.

Hi Chicagojoe - sorry, didn't notice your post. My other half made me watch a Papa Roach DVD - filmed in Chicago, I thought I was going to hate it, but thought it was amazing. Really didn't expect that much energy & force from them.

Hi Chicagojoe - I actually really like Papa Roach's newer music. Love the song The Fire. Both my sons are also fans and have been to see them. Very interesting about the mansion.

Sorry Chicagojoe, I did not see your post originally . That song "Forever" is sweeeet . I've not had a chance to listen to PR's newer stuff yet. That's an interesting story behind the title of their CD. One of the older songs I like by PR is "Getting Away With Murder" .

Thanks for writing, ladies. I need to checkout some of PR's older material once I've played "The Paramour Sessions" into the ground.

I think they have potential, but they just don't touch on anything real. All of thier drama feels planned and self created. You can't do songs with such an expanse of emotions if you don't feel them yourself, cause your fans pick up on that. That's the issue I have with them, and I think that is why they are not huge...

Thanks for writing, ladies. I need to checkout some of PR's older material once I've played "The Paramour Sessions" into the ground. If you havent heard their debut cd, get ready for a surprise. they sound like a different band back then. they had that rap rock vibe to them. their new music is so much better but I have always liked them. listen to the song "last Resort"
