Just wanted to thank Amy and Cindy and especially Dino for the Q&A! Very cool and really fun to read. The answer about Marty getting hit and knocked out at shows sounds painful, but too funny! I love these guys. If you haven't seen it yet, it's linked from the homepage. Go read it! Here it is: www.martycasey.org/dino_qanda.htm

Ditto. Thanks to our fabulous moderators and to Dino for being so generous with his time. He is as witty and charming as Marty is and Billy's posts have been entertaining too. Bobby just has to be a blast based on the company he keeps. I'm pretty sure that I adore the entire band. How cool is that?!!

I am getting more and more excited about the shows! And I am NOT usually a concert person.

What did the band think of Marty's version of Hit Me Baby One More Time? We used to play with a band that did a punk version of that song, so I thought Marty would be safe, and take that route. He took a chance and made it darker, which I thought was cool. It is actually a well written song. It has been done so many times and so different ways - anytime that happens, you know you have a great song. I still think Marty should have worn a school girl outfit though. as quoted from the Q&AI have asthma... you should put up warnings that extreme laughter may induce an asthmatic reaction...

Thank you Cindy and Amy for the great Q&A. Thanks to Dino for taking the time out, from his very busy schedule, and answering the Q's. Dino has a good sense of humor too! I hope that later on you all can set up another Q&A, because I, like spocky, had came in late and missed the chance to post a question(s). Thanks again.

And thanks also for the new (and old --- it's from 2001) Lovehammers video over at the links page! It's very high quality, and you really get a sense of their music and who they are on stage! And then there's also the extensive interview with "Martin Xavier" to keep you intrigued.

Hey guys, I was reading Dino's interview and I wondered what you thought about this comment he made about music:
"(QUESTION)What's your favorite thing about making music?? And if you had to choose any career besides music, what would it be and why??
(ANSWER) I love when our music touches someone, makes them feel a certain way, or helps get them through a hard time, or even helps them enjoy a great time in their life. I love music that affects me, or makes me feel a certain way. Many bands these days are thrown together and given a song that is a "radio hit" but it doesn't really make you FEEL anything. Music used to mean something, and I want to get back to that. I don't think you can BS music fans - if what you are saying tho them is fake, they will realize that really soon. Think of bands nowadays - most people don't' even know the members in the band. They may know the song, or the "hook" of the song, and maybe what the singer's first name is, but there isn't that connection that I think is so important. I remember growing up knowing everything about the bands I loved - Pearl Jam, Motley Crue, Nirvanna - we knew EVERYTHING about every member in those bands. Of course we had our favorites, but we were so connected, we knew and loved everything."
I think it is a wonderful capsulation of how I feel about music and what it means to me. He really hit it on the head, so I thought it beared repeating and wanted to know what you thought about his comments and music in your life.
