Tulum and the hurricane

Hi Marty,

Did you find out if Tulum was spared from damage by hurricane Dean? It would be a big loss if the Mayan ruins there were destroyed.

There is so much to learn from the civilizations who came before us. I wonder what future generations will find left from our current world, and how they will interpret what they find?

Nancy,

Many placs in Tulum experienced some damage... Some major and some minor. It's really hard on the locals. It seems that one year the earth breaths in and everything is calm, the next year the earth exhales and the sea is treachery on the shores. I am going to be in Tulum in October and will get to check in with my friends and see how they are holding up.

Thanks for thinking about Tulum. I love that place.
