I like doing both. Originals are fun because they might be a different type of song than the band usually plays or you can try and make a song your own. It's yin and yang. People that have never heard the band like to hear a cover to get a feel for a bands sound by hearing their take on something they allready know and understand. Originals take a few listens to sink into peoples brains.
