First off let me start out by saying you are an amazing songwriter.

My question is this, how does your songwriting process go?
Do you come up with the music first and then have to write the lyrics to go with it.
Or do you have a bunch of lyrics already written and then write the music to go with it?
Or is it a little bit of both?
Ok, i realize that is three questions, but i'm really curious because all of your songs are amazing!!

Every song happens differently. Sometimes I just have an interesting melody humming inside my head. Other times I hear a crunchy guitar jamming out a riff. They always start out different. What is always the same is sitting down for the remainder of the day and crafting the song. It's alot of diligent work and it's tough to stay focused on the process at times. I just keep pushing the song ahead in an effort to come up with something that moves me. 9 out of the 10 songs I write are never going to be heard. You have to work and work to craft the ones you are proud enough to play.
