Hi Marty I was listening to a Q&A session with David Grohl and he said that he cannot read music. I am wondering if that is true for you as well. If not, how do such talented artists like you and David make such great music? Do you have other methods? Thanks, Tricia

I do not read music. I learned to play by listening to cd's and trying to find the notes on the guitar by just plucking away for hours. It might have been easier to just learn theory. BUt, I like the fact that I don't know the pre-established theories and progressions cause I just play what sounds good to me and what gets me excited. Billy always tries to "fix" my progressions cause sometimes they are theoritically not in line but I kinda like the way it sounds and just wing it.
