I was given the gift of seeing you perform twice during your Fl. accoustic shows and you really know how to captivate your audience.Even when you are singing you make sure to give eye contact with different people in the crowd. The big Marty fans this and makes us feel like we've connected with you even if it was for a brief second,if that makes sense to you. When you were on Rockstar that was something that really grabbed my attention from you was the eyes.It felt as if you were looking through the tv and right into my eyes with all of your intensity of emotions,I know I was not the only one.One of our male friends said your eyes freaked him out and it felt as if you were going to take his soul! ;D My question is this:When you were on Rockstar did you look into the camera with such intensity on purpose to make sure your fans out there in tv land got that connection from you too or did it just happen that way?

It just seemed to happen that way. There were a couple hundred people in the audience but many millions at home. I wanted those sitting on the couch in the comfort of their homes to relax and hear what I was singing about. I wanted them to understand how much these songs affected me. I felt connected to them, I looked right thru that camera. I was also looking at my family, my friends, my bandmates, my co-workers, my life back in Chicago. It was an amazing ride but I could never quite shake the feeling of being a loner in that ciscumstance. I wanted to bring everyone with me.
