Hey there! I can't believe I just found this and I get to ask you a question! This is the most exciting thing ever (um, ya, I don't get out much).

So, my hubby and I are trying to have a second baby and we are going through baby names. Xavier entered the mix when I read it was your middle name and loved it. My question is, how did you get your name and have you always stayed true to 'Marty' or did you have a moment, standing on fames doorstep, where you pondered changing it? These things are important, you never know, our future son could be named after the "....legendary Marty Casey!"

Love ya, can't wait to see you again at Hammerfest and am SO FREAKING EXCITED that there may be a second show!

UPDATE: So, I read that you answered a similar question back in 2006; however, I just wanted you to know that I am pregnant now and the middle name Xavier is still in the running. It is up against Ozzy, with the final name either being "Solomon Ozzy" or "Solomon Xavier."

I think it sould be Solomon Eddie Xavier. SEX. That makes perfect rock n roll sense.

WOW!!!! I'm honored that you would even consider the name Xavier. It is a strong statement to be named Xavier. I was not given a middle name at birth. I got to choose a confirmation name and a middle name. My confirmation name I chose was Michael after my brother Steve... Don't ask. But for my middle name I chose Xavier. That was the ghost the lived in my friends house across the street. I like the name so much I took it. For the first record I was Marty Casey. Then Martin Xavier. Then Xavier Damon and then Martin Xavier Casey and then when the show came about I chose Marty Casey cause I wanted to do nothing more than make my father proud and make good on the Casey name. We Irish are proud of our name.

Funny thing is that most people think Marty Casey is a made up name. And I wanna tell ya, it ain't. But I prefer to be called Toothy Perkins!
