ok... so I cant get the org at work not. so im sitting there suffering silently. I overhear a coworkers saying she can get you tube..and no one else can. Im thinking hmmmm I wonder if she can get on the org.

I wonder why you can't get to the site from work and someone else can get to youtube. One would imagine that any blockages would be global on a network (I'm assuming you're on one). That's very odd...

Sooo I walk over to her computer and try it and  she can. hehe i took her puter over and looked at pics for a good 5 minutes  she offered to let me come sit at her desk during lunch and breaks. Im thinking I need to get chummy with someone in the IT dept. |

Well, I know that at school, some kids access myspace, youtube, etc using proxy sites.

That could be true Fly...or maybe the settings got changed in a recent update and that did it? I'd have to take a gander at the set-up to figure it out.  |

Noo i checked with a few people and its just her. She somehow got flash and the rest of us didnt.

Ahhh...lack of flash would be problematic -- and I'm guesing you're not labeled as an administrator on your machine, so no installation allowed, right? That sucks.

Can you talk to the IT department about having them update flash on your machine? Make up some BS about how the Java consol keeps screwing with the current version of flash, act like you're a complete idiot and keep harassing them...eventually they'll probably just do it to shut you up.

Make up some BS about how the Java consol keeps screwing with the current version of flash, act like you're a complete idiot and keep harassing them...eventually they'll probably just do it to shut you up. I'm back, that all sounds good to me.   I'm floating in and out between sites...............  |

Basically it amounts to tormenting the IT people until they do an update. First ask nicely though. Then drive them nuts. Lie to them, tell them that you tried opening something work related and it asked you to update/install flash, but you couldn't because you don't have admin rights.
