****Please check the board to see that the topic you are about to start doesn't already exist. We only need one thread per topic and then everyone else who wants to talk about that subject posts on that thread. We seem to be having a whole lot of one post threads going on, which are all about the same topic.****

Edited to add:
Cindy & I are looking into what's causing the problems at the board.

The biggest problems:
* People posting large photos
* Replies that "quote" photos

Please refrain from including photos in your quotes of other members. This is a major contributor to the board's burping problems. Also, please don't post large photos - resize them before posting.

I'll post more when we get a better feel for what's happening. But please help with the above so that we can cut down on errors and missing pages.

Look at the top just under the banner. There's a tiny icon with the word "profile" next to it. Click there. It will allow you to update everything in your profile.

I found the avatars, but didn't any pic of Marty .. I selected the bunny, but I'd rather a Marty Moment if you know what mean. Do you have any of the pics like you gals are using?

To have a custom avatar such as the ones Amy and I have, you have to make them and then host them on the web somewhere. Then go to your profile and put the url of exactly where that image is. In making the custom avatars this board will only allow a 100 pixel by 100 pixel maximum width. I believe that there are plenty of places to go online where you can find Marty avatars. Maybe folks will come over here and post addresses for you to go pick one out.

I have an av that I use on a completely different board than this, and I went there so I could c/p the url, and double checked the pixels and entered all the info, my line shows up but not the av itself. What exactly did I do wrong?

You are kidding right? Is this English class or a bulletin board?
I have been using BBS for so long that I don't think I can remember to use capital letters and punctuation all the time, and I have always been a crappy speller...I can even stump the spell checkers.
So if I misspell something, or forget to capitalize or punctuate, will I be excommunicated? If so, I guess it has been nice being here for the short time I have.

I guess I goofed when entering my b-day info. Its the wrong year in there. How cna I go in and fix that?

Palari,

When you are in a topic area where you want to post, you click on the link at the top right that says "New Thread" This can only work if you are not reading an actual thread or are just on the outside of the board looking at all the categories. You have to actually be inside the category to have the option to start a new thread.

I hope this makes sense and that you can start a new thread as you'd like now.

Hi MNcatz,

The guidelines are guidelines to help everyone enjoy the board. If something is really poorly spelled or bizarrely capitalized, it is hard to read, which causes confusion as to what someone means. So we ask that people try to communicate clearly to the best of their abilities...that way we all stand a better chance of not misreading something. I don't believe we would toss someone off for a few spelling errors or typos. We would just like to think that people will want others to read, enjoy and share their thoughts too.

Once you enter a birthday, that is one of the fields that cannot be altered. Sorry, I can't fix that for you nor can you go back and change it. I would just suggest hiding the age birthdate thing and then no one knows that you entered it wrong.

Unfortunately the board doesn't offer options for graphics in the sig lines. Sorry!
