Oh, I love poetry. I'm too unfocused to write anything else, really. I get bored after a time. ;D ;D ;D You should see my room. Its a disaster area. poetry seems like one of those things you either do, or definitely don't do. It was never really my interest until someone told me I was good at it. My first love will always be storywriting, though.

speaking of man jewelry- as in man-pris, and mandals....the other day i read somewhere that "manorexia" is on the rise. it's not funny, but i thought it was funny because of the way they "named" it.

Yeah...I don't see how male anorexics would be any different than women anorexics. Its the same disease.

Yeah...I don't see how male anorexics would be any different than women anorexics. Its the same disease. from a statistical standpoint however, it afflicted women much more- so the theories on the etiology of the disease revolved around girls and their mothers. there was no literature really on how it may have evolved in men.

I know, but I would assume men would become anorexic for the same reasons women do-to stay thin. Its the same image issue, I don't think sex matters all that much.

The important part is the object of control, in my opinion.

it is my belief that any behavior in the extreme, even if that means, lets say- a reaction is "bigger" than the situation- it's usually about something else.

Is a self-mutilator ever really going for the pain itself, or the attention it could possibly attract? i think it's about the pain more than the attention- but not in a concrete way- the pain is representative of something else- slicing through numbness in a too concrete way for lack of something more productive...

I don't know about that...there comes a point where emotional pain becomes too much.
