I won't name any names...but there are a number of fangirls who are 80's girls....whereas I was in HS in the seventies. I have heard them go on about Def Leppard, Bon Jovi... Bon Jovi is extremely hot...but come on....Journey? Oh i know I am in big trouble. Fly....help me...protect me. I'd put Van Halen in a different category than those bands. I'm not this huge VH fan or anything, but still. I did like Def Leppard in middle school though. ;D I own Pyromania On Vinyl?

Journey?!?!?!?!?!? I was a girl of the '80's but I think Journey is crap!! And Rick Springfield as well... the eighties is my least favorite decade musically. it was such an odd time. i was never into big guitar rock like those big bands....i was more of a "new wave" pseudo punky type chick.... but when i hear alot of it now, it all sounds like crap. loved talking heads. classic.

You can tell me to stick it however. I can play fair.

I wish I had spent more time with CJ. She was so much fun to talk to! Yes, she was! We had a quick visit. I'm sure she'll be back in Chicago soon. Her family lives not to far from here, so we are going to plan another concert weekend! So are you moving to Chi town? Hubby really liked Naperville so we are pursuing it seriously. On Saturday, he said he wanted to drive around Naperville and get a 'feel' for the land. Very cute area! But why does everyone say it is 'big?' Chicago proper is big. LOL

Actually Lisa, I agree with you! My friend and I went to see them mainly to see Eddie play and just kind of to say we saw them once. I really wasn't a huge fan. They were way better than all the hair bands, though.

There was some good stuff going on in the 80's, just not necessarily the mainstream. I was big into the Replacements, U2, Police, old REM....
