My 15 year old son races motocross/supercross for sport and he is very very good at it. He travels all over Australia racing and his calander is so full for the next six months he has to have enormous amounts of time off school. He doesn't really do anything much at school because his mind is always on his training/racing.
So after much discussion with him and his dad and much heartache on my part, I have decided to let him leave school to pursue his racing. Since he could walk he has always wanted to race motorcross as a 'job'.
I have studied to Syllabus for the year he is in and I can keep him busy with maths/english as well as discuss current issues and science with him.
What would you do? Am I doing the right thing? I feel so down about this I can't tell you
