That's the part I hated about scholarships and higher education. It's more geared towards kids that played sports getting the boo-koo dollars, and very little towards the smart kids that have earned it through their academics. Nothing againsts sports, I just think it should at least be even.

You do not look old enough to have a kid in college! That is impossible!! At least you saved something, I have student loans that will follow me long after I'm dead I'm afraid. And that was even with scholarships, too. nlt, thank you! flattery will get you every where! That pic is just a really good one ;D. We told Katie she can live at home as long as she wants to pay off her law degree. She'll never be able to buy a house the way things are going otherwise. It's just crazy! Well good luck to you all and you sound like some fab parents for giving her that option! Hi Klees and BL!

You'd think a kid who was accepted to Cambridge University (yes the one in England) at 16 for their summer programme would at least get something in the line academic scholarships!

I'm gonna be $8,000.00 short paying for Katie's tuition. It's crazy how much college costs now. My grad school was less than that per year..and it's not like I'm that old. Well, maybe I am.

HI Klees, it's going pretty good with me...I'm hoping this week at work zips by. I'll be in Philly for the Chris Cornell concert this weekend.
You're lucky, I have 45 more minutes in my regular work day but I think I'll be staying a little late.
