Yeah I hear that records are making a resurgence! There are six music stores by the campus, and they all carry vinyl, and one sells used players. Not that I spend a lot of time looking for new music.... I have a good player, but I've been trying to find a way to transfer all my albums to CDs. Problem is, the best way is through the computer to let you clean up the "scratches".

I think there's a device that transfers them, but I'm not sure. Grrr, scratches...somehow, one of my albums got scratched, and I'm still mourning. It was the first one I ever bought.

Hey Nutter Butters
Hows it going? I saw that Polar actually logged on and posted so I figured I'd do the same.
Penny - that is so cute about your son. He is such a big boy now!
Mine just started Jr. High School *sniff*

OK, been reading back a bit. Kari, I'm sorry to hear about your Mom. Hope she's healing well. And to those with birthdays, you should never let them bother you, milestone or not! Just keep Rockin' On and no one will ever notice the years go by. (From one who has had a few milestones, and is only a couple of years from another one.)

I stopped at saw Polar at work a few weeks ago. Looks like she likes her job.
My son was not so excited about Jr. High - we just switched him from a small private school to public school and it was a big adjustment. Plus it was hard because he didn't know anyone. He ate lunch alone the first week which broke my heart.
Yesterday, he walked home (for the first time) with a friend and stopped and had ice cream on the way home. Makes me feel better!

When they just start school you feel sad, then after a while you can't wait until they're out of the house. Then it's back to worrying when they start driving to school. Then college is another sad time if they are actually moving out. But the really sad, sad, time........ Is when they've been out of school for a while and want to move back home! ;D ;D ;D ;D My son wants to move back for 6 months (so he says) and my daughter may not stay in California if her brother moves back - so I may have both of them back next January.

He gets really nervous about new things, so I haven't been making too big a deal about it. But this morning, he wanted to wear his backpack over to daycare to show his daycare provider, so that's a good sign! And he even let me take pics of him with it on.

Yo Mommas! Pen, my sister is pregnant, is due today...we thought she (baby) might come for Bobby K. or Chi's b'day, but I guess she's smart and is waiting for yours!

See, that's the kind of stuff that makes me panic. What if he doesn't make any friends? Will there be a bully who is mean to him? I would cry. I'm glad your son is making friends, 4.

HY So much for empty next syndrome??? I've been an empty nester for about a year and a half. I don't think the kids will stay long - in fact I'll make sure of it! I enjoy having an empty nest!
