I guess everyone has flown out Hi CF. Yep. This time of night is usually quiet. I'm just popping in to watch a couple of planes take off. I must be bored. ;D ;D

I'm putting off housework ;D To be truthful, I'm putting off writing work. It's getting fairly tragic. I have to hand in my paper by Monday or... well, I think I'm out of the grad program. I've been too afraid to ask if that's really the case. Life is very weird these days.

To be truthful, I'm putting off writing work. It's getting fairly tragic. I have to hand in my paper by Monday or... well, I think I'm out of the grad program. I've been too afraid to ask if that's really the case. Life is very weird these days. Do you want to be out of the grad program? That's a good question. I'm so close to finishing. When I started last September, I had 5 transfer credits from my time at U. of Waterloo (1994-1996). So that means 2 courses and a research paper. Seems simple, right? My mental state says otherwise. I'm a perfectionist procrastinator who suffers from anxiety and depression. This makes me question every move I make. Therefore, I'm exhausted. I seek escape in (a) my part-time job, (b) sleeping, and (c) the internet and TV. My confidence level isn't too high. Except for my performance in the Trivia Challenge. (tiny laugh) Tonight I feel that it's not going to happen - this degree. Tomorrow morning I may feel differently. Anyway, I'm throwing this on paper because it feels good. Don't want to be a total downer. These are just facts. I've been in this world for 6 years now. I've worked on myself quite a bit: counselling, life coach, spiritual group, psychiatrist. Not lately though. Might be time for something.

RJ it sounds like you have come a long way in the last few years. I'm sure if you put your mind to it you will be able to finish the paper and you are so close it would be a shame not to complete the program. And you can share your thoughts here

Rant off, you can return to your regularly scheduled squee now...

Irritated. I mean, if they want to play "guitar" badly, it is a free country. I just don't wanna hear it in my apartment. If I wanted to hear that, I'd pick myself up a guitar and start strumming. How are you?

I'm sure if you put your mind to it you will be able to finish the paper and you are so close it would be a shame not to complete the program. And you can share your thoughts here Thanks CF. Yes, I've come a long way. The biggest positive of all was leaving a very bad marriage 6 years ago, after 18 years (of which maybe 5-6 were good). So, I know I'm capable of a lot of things. Somehow, it's whenever I get into the academic world that things get flimsy. I'm going to make a good attempt between now and Monday morning. I love my research subject - I love being in environmental studies - I love academia. These are things to focus on. You know what? This has really helped! I'm so hesitant to dump stuff like this into the wonderful world of Marty, but it's really nice to have someone listen for a bit. I'm so grateful for my friends here.
