I was supposed to be crazy busy this week. I've been in a weird sort of depressed place for two days. Mostly slept yesterday and today. Watched the tube, too. I'm trying to snap out of it. I'll have to work on the weekend - both days. I wanted to go to the Local Food Summit, but I pay the price for being the Avoidinator. What's keeping you busy?

Yeah, I seem to have a bit of wanderlust lately. Just slightly restless, but somewhat melancholy...wanting to sleep a lot too. I hope to go out of town tomorrow evening, perhaps, if it works out. Thankfully the kids left the house alone last night.
Fruit and meat sales...*bleh*...I.E. Their last big fundraiser for the prom during their junior year and it seems I got so lucky as to be in charge of the sale!!! YIPPEEEE (dripping with sarcasm)...

I have to put the prices in a jazillion (okay like 75x2 = 150) brochures for the sophomore class fundraiser...tonight... . I'm procrastinating as usual You speak my language - I've got a name for it - it's called 'putitoff'. ;D ;D ;D ;D Sounds like a derivative of Russian, I think. ;D ;D ;D ;D

A co-worker had her baby today...and it was a GIRL...after two boys I'm thrilled for her. She didn't want to know in advance...going to have to get somit else for that baby now.

That combination is not attracting me so much. Keep them on either side of the room please. ;D ;D Wanderlust. Interesting. I wish I was feeling that. I just don't want to leave the house. And I didn't for the past two days.

Sorry to hear that, RJ. I've been there before...during my last big flare I didn't want to go anywhere. I managed to go to work because I needed my money, but that was about it. I wish I could go to Austin next week...one of my faves is playing there with Patrice Pike, but I want to see Neeley as Jesus if I can...and since we only get three personal days...
They sell fruit usually...apples, oranges, grapefruits, and pears...along with peanuts, pecans, and honey. This year we've decided to do the turkeys and hams as well, which are another brochure...hence the 150 or whatever I have to do. I've almost got half of them done and mom said she'll help with the other half.

She's pint-sized, but she's powerful. Much better than she was on the show. I'm going out tomorrow - to work. I kind of hate the place now. The idea is to finish a certain amount of work and then quit. Things keep stretching out and taking forever. It's partly me - when I'm like this I don't really have the greatest concentration ability. I can't wait until I am done - then I can start my journey back to academia. I want to be a fresh and whole person in Jan 2008. 100% student. No distractions. That will be the start of a good year.

She's playing with Megan Slankard, whose music I just love. It's one of Megan's first two shows in Texas. She's a Cali girl.
I know what you mean about work stretching on and on. That's the way I was when I worked as a journalist on the days we had to put the paper to the press. It would drag on due to me getting distracted or trying to fix this or that...sometimes I was there literally all night long.
I think you and I both NEED 2008 to be a good year. Let's agree to kiss this one goodbye and good riddance at the end of it, okay? Let's live it with the reckless abandonment.

Sometimes I daydream about doing something totally different for my job. Something other than sitting at a desk plunking keys on a computer keyboard and creating reports or financial statements. I'm going to be receptive to new things in 2008. It will be a breath of fresh air compared to my usual work patterns.

I fear my 2007 issues won't be resolved until early 2008, but it will be fine. I just believe it will.

Good for you! I'd like to start doing some freelance writing and photography in '08...and finish my play. *AT LAST* You go girl!!! I'd love to do a road trip and come and see your play! I've thought about getting back into some writing. I've got a gazillion story ideas. The problem seems to be no time - well, no quality, full-of-energy-and-inspiration time. The other thing that has been calling to me is sewing. I've become hooked on Project Runway. It's giving me ideas... fashion from used fabric. I used to sew quite a bit about 20 years ago. I've never tried to make my own patterns, but I might dabble in it once I quit this job and before the Winter term starts.

Follow your bliss, girl! If I can finish the play, there are actually quite a few competitions. I could probably enter it in one. Most publishers want proof of a production or two before they'll even look at a script...which there are some professional and semi-professional theatres in towns a few hours from me. Maybe one of them would be interested. I'll just have to see if I can get to that point.
I need to find out when the yearly Writer's Retreat is slated for next summer. I'd really like to go. They do it here in town. People come from all over to attend. It's at the Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum.
