I hope everyone remembered to vote at rockbandlounge.com...go to the forum before 3 a.m. Eastern Time, 2 a.m. Central, 1 a.m. Mountain, and midnight Pacific Time. Marty's still in the lead right now, but only by 3 votes...nearest competitor is Mr. J.D. Fortune. VOTE PEOPLE VOTE! Oh and... HAPPY NEW YEAR!

My work to be done is here at home. Tons of laundry (which I have to do in short spells because I hang up everything of mine to dry and I quickly run out of places to hang things..I really need to invest in some outdoor clotheslines or somit)...the office needs to be straightened up, so the piles of books in the living room can move to their proper home...the whole house really could use a good spring cleaning in the winter...the usual stuff...mainly decluttering because I'm a huge pack rat. My pack rat nature makes me even more disorganized than I would be if I didn't hoard things due to sentimentality. Therefore, a purge is in order. I do this from time to time, but it always seems no matter how many big trash bags I throw out... the stuff still overwhelms me. *sigh* It'll be okay though. It always is. I just want to get everything in order so badly. My office somehow has ended up the de facto "storage room" for everything else...large boxes are taking up most of the floor space, my poor (semi-wood) file cabinet is getting scratched up in the process of things being scooted around, and I just want to scream sometimes when I come in. It's getting better, but I want my space back. I'm reclaiming it...hopefully by the end of the week (if not before I go back to work) I'll have this room organized, my new desk and new computer in here, and only piles of books and no boxes in the floor. Then I'll get the bookcases I need and everything will be copacetic. OMG, you sound exactly like me. I've highlighted the thoughts that are the very same ones I've had in the past few days! I installed a closet organizer last night. Tomorrow is office re-org day. Not sure how much purging will get done, but I'll know I have a floor when I'm done. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I'm still working on the office. Probably will continue that tomorrow. Looked at bookcases over the weekend, but nothing is grabbing me yet. I want a good, sturdy one that won't buckle under the weight of my big books. I've already purged a few boxes and a stack or two of papers. There's still a ton of stuff to go through though...it will happen. I think Mom is earmarking Tuesday as a "Let's clean the house day"...it's the only day she'll be off this week...and I have to go back on Thursday...unless it snows. That COULD happen theoretically...there's a slim chance of flurries in the forecast. Let's hope it's a blizzard instead and then I can just stay in the rest of the week and use a couple of snow days...if we have them built in...I don't know if we do or not. *sigh*
Peace.
