Went great in Michigan. Its so scary -- trying to decide if you want the tickets it gives you or try for a different price or something. Then, if you wait too long, it times out. I didn't want to pay the most expensive price, so I went with balcony - but got great seats up there. 2nd row right in the middle. I'm short, so I'm always worried about having a tall person sit in front of me. I'm old, so I don't want to be right in the smush of people and I might be bringing an 11 year old, so don't want him in the smush of things. Anyone bringing kids or am I a total dork?

I got the tickets for detroit on 2/8/05 at the masonic. main floor to the side row D I will be able to look into those beautiful eyes of his and dream he is singing to me alone. I wish you all luck. I was shaking so bad that I put the wrong credit card number in and it didn't go thru and had to do it again. was sure they would cancel it cos they only give you so many minutes for each process. 2-3. anyway now I can go back to work. I actually went their for 35 mins and said I had personal business. lol. Any other detroit goers? let me know. Plan on wearing lovehammer or Marty shirt.

ok...I didn't do an INXS fan club presale because I decided to do the Chicago Theatre Insiders presale instead. If they don't do an insiders presale for this show, I will be one unhappy camper!

So that was a total waste of time. I may cancel my membership in the fan club. I got on exactly at 10:00 and the only seats available were in the worst section of Avery Fisher Hall. I'll have to go to the box office on Saturday.

well, after reading where some of you got your seats, even though I'm happy to have tickets, I'm not so sure I got the best available!
I jumped right on at 10:00. I'm going to the warner theatre in D.C. and I got Row S, seats on the end...........
Anyone been there? If so, how big is the place? Will those be decent seats? I'm short as well, so maybe near the aisle is better.
Either way, at least I'll be there!

wendy....that's why I didn't do the INXS fan club. No guarantees that you will get GOOD seats...just that you will get seats of some kind.

Hey peppermint, I'm bringing 2...a 10 year old and a 14 year old, both girls that LOVE marty! They wouldn't let me go without them. Wish I'd gone with balcony now, too. Probably was a smart move on your part. This my first concert in a LONG time, first pre-sale try, AND first time at this theater so guess you live and learn.

kelz,
Yeah, it was a calculated risk. I got very lucky with U2 (fast trigger finger) but with the weird layout at Avery Fisher, I knew it would be a real crap shoot, especially when you add in that it's a small venue in a very large city.

I'm pissed. I was on RIGHT at 10 and in the ticket page in 10 seconds. I couldn't even get four seats. I ended up with two that say OBSTRUCTED VIEW. Some fanclub. I call bullshit.

Boy, this is all making me very nervous. I am on the West Coast so things havn't started out here yet. I just don't know if it is worth it to go with the fan site and get crappy tickets with something like penny74 got (obstructed view - are you kidding?) I can't afford to buy more tickets if the first ones don't work.

I knew it would be hard (this is Chicago, land of Hammerheads) but this is ridiculous.
Okay, my coworker just calmed me down a little. He looked up the seating chart at Chicago Theater and my seats are kinda cool I guess. I have a box in the balcony, but I wanted FLOOR! Right by the stage! Closer to mmmmmMarty! Am I being irrational? I am on almost no sleep, so my irritation may be a bit overblown.
But I also wanted four tickets! Waaaaa!

No I don't think you are. Fan Club seats should be on the floor. You pay for that right.
I tried both Minneapolis & Chicago just in case and the best I got was main floor row U in MN and some half way back balconies in IL. If good seats would have come up I would have willingly paid the extra for the fan club but wasn't surprised when they didn't.
Will try again during the presales on Friday.

I'll have to go to the box office on Saturday. I didn't know Avery Fisher hall was in the presale today! It was listed as TBA yesterday on the INXS website. Also it's not on ticketmaster. Did it go thru a ticketseller other than ticketmaster. I didn't join the fanclub because I was waiting and I think I need 5 tickets.

OH goodness! I'm glad I didn't do the INXS fan club thing. I had a feeling that with Chicago Theater having their own membership Insider that people pay quite a bit for that they wouldn't give the best seats to the fan club. I'm still waiting to hear from the theatre to see when their presale will start.

Madmaestro62: Thanks for the response. Are you going to the Detroit show?? I think you and I might be the same person. This is the first concert I've been to in awhile and I've never tried a pre-sale either. I was pretty nervous. Good to know there will be some other kids there. The child I'm bringing is a boy. He really enjoyed Rockstar INXS, but does like his music a little "harder" so I think he'd like Lovehammers a lot. He loves all that Franz Ferdinand, Killers, Green Day kind of stuff.

I was right on top of it at 10 AM here in St. Louis and had no luck getting anything close to come up. They started in the second section back of seats A2 on the floor row 6 which is not good so I will wait to buy mine on Saturday at the venue.
