Just listened to the "new" full length version of Trees, and I know you all will disagree with me in a huge way, but I am sorry - what a major disappointment. That version while apparently, "amped" up just leaves me very cold, and if I had heard that on the radio for the first time I certainly would neither buy it or go back for a second listen. It has lost all the energy and verve of the song he performed on Rockstar.
Still a Marty Casey fan, but I really did expect more than what he has delivered with the official version of Trees.

Hey everyone,
This version of Trees has been available on Limewire.com (P2P file sharing program) for about a week free to download in MP3 format.
I have just about worn out my download I have been playing it so often.
If you have limewire installed just go to search, click on audio, under artist type Lovehammers and this version normally comes up as the first option as it is the most downloaded LH song at the moment. It runs for 3.38 minutes. It is listed as Rock Star INXS The Lovehammers (Marty Casey) Trees- Album Version. It covers all bases so when you search it always comes up. Top quality MP3 downloadable version.!!
ENJOY
Cheers, Helen.

Hi Aussieglynn, While I appreciate your opinion, that actually IS the original version of Trees (before RS) - don't quote me, but I think so. Personally I love this version and love the 'richness' it now has. But hey, each to their own.

Hey V and Glyn, I can understand where your coming from Glyn but personally I LOVE this version of the song. Like vulcanet says it shows richness and also shows Marty's beautiful voice control and is a very listenable version which is probably the best way to have this song for their first released single. I am sure this is gonna be a huge hit, we just have to get it released outside of the USA for it to be a huge WORLD WIDE hit! Rock On 2006 Helen.

Glad the download worked VN!

Dont get me wrong, its still a fresh new song, but just having seen what Marty is capable of, and this being their "worldwide" debut single, or the possibility of it, I think it has lost some of its "hookiness" and I just see it as vibrant as it could have been, in fact, it could have even been over produced and I think it has lost some of the rawness that Marty makes so incredible yet polished. Make sense ?

A question - is the version we have been listening to on the download the original or the so called amped up version that will be released on the new CD ?
And instead of adding more replies that we need, can any one PM me that info ? Thanks.

I've been listening to this new Trees on a continuous loop for about a half hour now, and I'm in love with this version. I can't wait for the entire album!!! First, my beloved Texas Longhorns beat USC to win the national championship, then I find the new version of Trees. I'm not going to get much sleep tonight.

I think it's a better representation of what the Lovehammers are about.

Your comment about that being what the Lovehammers are all about could be very true. I had not previously heard of Marty or the Lovehammers prior to Rockstar, and whilst I do prefer rock to pop, I still am disappointed with the new version.
I will buy the album, no doubt about that, and remain a new found Marty Casey fan, but simply just dont like the new version, and I appreciate the fact that everyone has made sensible comeback comments and not "flamed" me because I do disagree with everyone on the fourm, which shows the intelligence and maturity of the the fans on her, and as I said, I appreciate that greatly.

Everybody is entitled to their opinion and whether I agree with it or not I respect it ;D. Variety is the spice of life.

Thats exactly right, and as I said, not liking the version wont stop be buying the CD and actively taking part in the campaign to get the band to Australia, whether it is to tour on their own or fronting the INXS tour.

Hi Glynn, didn't see your post here, Was looking for you at home. Your comment above is because we don't want to scare off the "Fanguys" Just kidding, appreciate your opinion. Like my avi though

Music is so good because everyone has different opinions, and that is one of the things that makes the love and passion of music so great.
I mentioned Powderfinger on here to you, and another band, The Whitlams (which I am sending you), just think both of them are at the forefront of Aussie music, great bands, but not everyone likes them....passion in music is so important, and I will still be at any concert in Brisbane that marty's band plays, hopefully fronting INXS at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.
