My mom and I were huge Rockstar INXS fans. The second I saw Marty I was "in love". I watched the show religiously and every time I saw Marty he took my breath away. Needless to say I was disappointed he didn't win. Then a few months later my mom surprised me with tickets to go see the lovehammers in Vegas! The months went by and Finlay it came time for me to go see the amazing lovehammers. They were totally amazing. Bobby freaking was pure perfection!!! I loved know all the words to!! (I had bought their original Cd's earlier and their new one the day it came out). When I heard they were doing a meet and greet I almost peed my pants!! Well I left the concert right after INXS did pretty Vegas and the line was huge already! Luckily I got to meet the lovehammers!!!! It was amazing!! So we go home and I immediately started searching for the next concerts. I mentioned to my mom that they were going to be CBGBs the week my dad was going to be in NYC so it took some time but i got her to finally buy the tickets!!!! So I am going to CBGBs and I'M so excited I can (not alot of places allow 16 year olds in) I will be right up front even if it kills me ( I'M only 5'1 and 89lbs) I am so pumped!!! sorry this was so long I just couldn't keep it to myself

Sounds like you have a really cool mom.
My story is from the other side.
I tuned into RockStar INXS on the advice of a coworker. I too feel in love with Marty straight away. When my daughter came to visit, she is grown and lives in CT, I turned her on to RockStar INXS. She came to Texas for my birthday in July so I sat her down and played her the first three shows which I had TiVoed.
When the tour dates were posted since there were no shows scheduled for Texas I got her tickets to the Feb. 16 show at the Moghegan Sun in CT. Then I got a chance to get a great ticket and time off work to go to KC show. But alas it got rescheduled and I am not going to be able to go....soooo, I bought her tickets to the CBGB show. My loss is her gain I guess.
Well there you have it, a daughters story and a mothers story, all for the love of Marty Casey.
I told her while watching them perform at CBGB's not to pay any attention to the shoving she feels from behind her, it is only me in spirit, trying to get closer to him. lol

I am not moving for people any more! LOL I am 6'2" and at the Viper Room legions of short girls begged and pleaded to get in front of me. Oh of course I did it. I am on a mission to get pictures, so will fight for a spot close to the stage if I must
And cool mom lovehammered!
