Got your PM and responded. It seems like we may be more than 10 for dinner ... So far the list is me, you, mondegreen, yakketyak, swtvi65 (wanda), rockbeast (maybe?), madamerubi, BBE, gineen and her husband. I think brennak, Jamie from Worth, and zzz are also coming. Hopefully I didn't miss anyone ... that makes thirteen! I have a reservation for 10, so if anybody else wants to join us, let me know ... maybe we'll take over the restaurant!!!

I think mondegreen has a good idea about finding an easy meeting point with you to get the flyers and stuff to put up/hand out. I will be sightseeing with Wendyc122 on Tuesday and we will be handing out stuff as we walk around. Just let me know where and when to meet you!

BTW, will we have to buy a staple gun or tape or whatever to post these flyers?

I was just wondering, are most of us (who are not from the NY area) staying at the Howard Johnson's? Rockbeast, I know the HoJo might be out of your pocket-money-price-range, but I really don't want you to stay at a yucky, dirty place!!! I can give you a few bucks if it will help your cause, or will help anyone else if they need a few bucks to eat!!! This is, after all, for a good cause.......

I'm going to skip the dinner...I didn't respond to your thread so I assumed you weren't counting me! I'm just going to get a quick bite once I get to the hotel but can't wait to meet you guys at the club!! Doors open at 7pm btw.

Well, now it looks like there might be 12 of us for dinner!! I'll do another head count a couple of days before. Also, I'll need to know at that point who will be meeting at HoJo's at 5:00 and who will be meeting us at the restaurant around 5:30.

Hey, I'll also spot you some money to stay there also, you can buy me a drink or something at CBGB's. I'd let you stay with me and my 17 yr. old son thats comming too but I think my husband would choke me or you? Too bad your flights not out of lga, I think its closer and thats where we leaving from on wed. afternoon bout 3:00pm. Also anybody coming in to lag Tues.at 11:00am that wants to share a cab?

RB...check www.nyinns.com and look at the Union Square Inn...standard room is $129...and when I did online check....they had rooms available...it is pretty close to the club..maybe 1/2 mile away or so....just a suggestion.....

Rockbeast, Union Square is really close. You can walk it, or take the downtown #6 subway two stops to Bleecker.

Have you decided to stay at Union Square? The walk will be about twelve blocks (which is a little more than 1/2 mile ... each block in NY is 1/20th of a mile). Don't worry about safety on the walk down; you will be on crowded streets (and you can even make your stop at Trash & Vaudeville on the way!). Your main concern will be about getting lost. Going back, though, you should be with someone else.

Ok, so I have two resv. one at the hostel across the street from the venue that is 34.00 per night (includ. tax) and now I have a room resv. at the Howard Johnson that everyone is staying at. that is 169.95 PLUS tax!! Where is that wonderful miss that said she was coming with her 17 y.o. son and would spot me some flow to stay here?

Am I dreaming? I do need to get a good nights rest and stuff.......lol

ATTN FRIENDS: The dinner plans have changed!!! Wendyc122 should be contacting you soon with details, so if you are going make sure she has contacted you. The new place is closer and has more of a mixed offering: burgers, fish, chicken, steak, salads, as well as a fine choice of asian food. The reason for the change: Thai food can be too spicy if you are not used to it and would take longer for people to decide what they wanted, or even "what" they were ordering...LOL...The new meeting place is Noho Star...If you do not want to attend the dinner, then please just stop by and have a drink before we go over to the CBGB club.
