Massey Hall doesn't normally do body searches for cameras. But they won't let you take a picture at the show. One of the ushers saw me with my camera and gave me a pretty stern warning. Enjoy the show.

Thanks gutless. I'll keep my camera at the bottom of my bag and just bring it out for the meet and greet.
Where was that?
thanks, Kim

Hey all. I can't go to the show, couldn't get ticks, but I did something today, that in the hands of the right person could pay off for all of us. I sent an email to the fallsview casino in Niagara Falls. I told them all about our GOD , how he rocks , where we found him, and begged :'(for them to give the boys a chance. Maybe if more people did this, who knows, another canadian stop one day?!?!?!?!?!?!? I'll do it again, until it gets a response. Just picture it, a small venue, just what they love! Easy meet and greet, only holds about 1200 people. whatcha all think!

I brought a camera but forgot the batteries - really smart. But then I was even smarter and though the show was at 7:00 when it was at 8:00. I gave dh a really hard time because he insisted on driving me and I only got there at 6:45. I never did tell him that was an hour early lol. So I bought batteries (the special kind for digital cameras) and the camera still didn't work. I hate that camera - we bought another one because this one is constantly on the blink but I couldn't find it (and I have trouble figuring out which is which they look so much alike).

My seats were probably the worst in the house. 2nd last row, obstructed view. It was lots of exercise because the merchandise, drinks and signing was all in the basement on the left side of the theatre - as far away from me as you could get.
I bought a great black picture T-Shirt of the guys. $40 for a plain T-Shirt is highway robbery and I usually wouldn't go for it but I was a Lovehammers fan at an INXS concert and I wanted to identify my loyalty lol. I sure hope the Lovehammers get at least 20 of my 40 bucks.
The concert was as amazing as everyone said it would be. From my seat I couldn't see Bobby because of a great big speaker hanging in the air above him or Billy because of the angle, he was below me. I moved over and I was able to see Bobby. The nice thing about my seats was being at the back, I was able to dance for the whole show. At first everyone in my section was up and dancing which was nice but as time went on people started to sit down. The person behind me asked me to go back to my own seat so I went behind her and danced on the top level.
I love how Marty moves. He was constantly on the go in that slinky way he has and I really want to go dancing with him. I can't decide which song is my favourite. It seems to be whichever song they're singing at the time. Rain on the Brain was nice because Dino and Billy changes spots for a bit and I got to see some Billy. I loved watching him climb to the balcony below me and run around the front row. I hated when he ran underneath and I didn't get to see him climb back down.
I didn't get to see Marty while they were doing Trees because everyone stood up and I wasn't higher than the people in front of me. I just watched Dino for that song so it was ok. If I hadn't moved I would have missed Marty up on the speakers dancing and conducting so it was worth it. I moved back to my own seat for Ring of Fire. That song suits Marty's voice completely.
I met one Hammerhead from Lovehammers.com who knew Franny and Kate but I didn't meet anyone from this board. Rumour has it that Franny2 and Kate had the best seats in the house for the Balcony part. The Hammerhead was there with her sister, a J.D. fan and they traded off, with the JD fan in the cheap seats for Marty's part and the Marty fan up beside me for the INXS section.
INXS was pretty good too. The seats were even worse for their section because they were further back on the stage and J.D. was often behind the speaker. I felt like JD didn't look up into our section at all. Marty looked up at our section quite regularly and there was one point that he said 'you' and pointed at me. I meant to remember which song and the exact line but of course it's totally left my head.
Ok, my husband didn't think this was funny but I'm odd so I'm going to tell you anyway. During the song 'Devil Inside' someone near me farted. The smell was excruciating. I kept thinking 'He didn't keep that Devil Inside'.
JD annouced which song is probably their next single. It's a slow one, something like 'Electric'? I really liked it. He said they may release it in Canada first. I'm thinking INXS actually counts as Canadian Content since their lead singer is Canadian. That really improves their chances of getting a #1 single. I think INXS was always more popular in Canada than the U.S. and RSINXS was definitely more popular here so it does make sense.
JD came back for their encore with a cigarette in his hand - really good for his bronchitis. He needs to take care of himself so you guys with concerts coming up don't get disappointed!
I really intended on staying for the whole of INXS but I couldn't resist going down a few songs before the end. The CD signing was well advertised. Marty mentioned it during the show and there were signs so I knew there would be lots of people lining up for signatures. Since it was so far from my seat I knew I'd be last in line if I didn't get there early.
It didn't take long to get to the front of the line. I wanted so much to say something to the guys.
I got to Marty and said 'I'm a big fan' (so original). He looked up at me, smiled and said 'nice shirt'
Thud - ok it was worth the forty bucks ;D.
I said 'Hi Dino' to Dino - either I was rushed or I was still thudding from Marty's comment so I didn't say anything else to him.
I said 'Hi Bobby, so you brought the snow with you' (stupid comment but at least I said something)
I said 'Hi Billy, I hardly got to see you at all my seats were so bad' (whiney - I wish I had mentioned that bad seats meant I got to dance for the whole show, which I meant to say but forgot).
If dh hadn't driven me, I would have got right back in the line for a 2nd set of autographs. As it was, I felt bad keeping my kids awake for a 2nd set (It wouldn't have stopped me from getting the first set). I wish I had paid more attention to them and less to what I was going to say and not looking too much like an idiot. I need to go to another concert!
